Badboy
Dan Butler qualified first today on 21 marks, for tomorrows semi-final, halving the second place riders score. The semi-final will take place in the morning with the top 8 going through to the final in the afternoon.Hopefully the weather will hold off as today saw torrential rain making the trial a mud-bath!The sections are all natural, on rocks, banks an in a river (which rose after that much rain fell!)I'l post info on the final tomorrow evening. Badboy
Hi guys Sorry for not posting last night, was gone midnight when we finally got home!Dan unfortunately didnt make the final, but finished up in 10th place (3marks away from making the final!)The sections were 4 of the qualifiers run in reverse, with 2 new sections as well.Yet more rain made the scores again very high, and the sections very difficult. The top eight to make the final were:Vincent Hermance (Koxx)Kenny Bealey (Koxx)Thomas Ohler (Koxx)Marc Caisso (Atomz)Kenny Le Courre (Koxx)Aurelian Fontenoy (MBK) (i know i have spelt the surname wrong) Tibo Vellieut (Vario)Another French Koxx rider whos name I have forgot! The final was two laps of 4 sections (4 totally new ones this time) as is customary for UCI.Only 4 riders got through any of the finals sections!! They were extremely hard sections. The finishing places were:1st Kenny Bealey 31 (40 is the max score possible for 8 sections)2nd Vincent Hermance ?3rd Marc Caisso 374th Thomas Ohler 38then the rest were all on max! (their places being worked out by their qualification scores)Sorry I have no details on the 20", but judging by the qualification scores, Benito (and his afro ) was looking to walk it! totaltrials
shouldnt danny be 5th then if he qualified 1st?He qualified 1st for the semi final but did not make it into the final. So it sounds like he come 2nd in the semi final if he came 10th overall.Phil.
the organiser
Right its like this. There are 10 seeded riders, who only ride the semi-final they dont have to do the qualifiers.Of all the riders in the quailifiers, only the top 10 make it to the semi-final. So that makes 20 riders in the semi-final, going for 8 places in the final. In the case of a tie break in the final, the results from the semi-final are used to decied who gets what place. Unlike Biketrial where it is decieded on time or most cleans etc.Dan finished 10th overall.
Badboy
OkSome of the results I posted up earlier are wrong (scores that is) :$ A full list of results is on Roger Keller's websiteJust go to the "resultate" link on the left hand side.Penalty points are given for going over the time limit for the trial. And it is done .5 for every min over (so 1 point for every 2mins)
