somberlaine
Short and sweet one here; basically I need some crates! They are mental fun to have in your garden and great for a quick 30 min blitz every night without having to go in to town and get mugged. So what's the deal? I see everyone having them in their graden on their videos. Should I just drive around trying to find some building site and then nick them under the cover of darkness or what?Ideas/crates appreciated!Michael

Mark W
Mr. Anal is right. Just go and ask people. All the ones I got were free, and I didn't have to do anything shady to get 'em. Just ask around a bit, get some balls, initiate some conversations. Then, when that fails, leave a 2 week gap or so so they forget you, then steal them... MasterOfGussets
Anywhere with a warehouse that takes deliveries... local Staples, Argos, back of a supermarket, B&Q, Homebase, shopping centres and as stated above, industrial estates. My local garden centre seems the best source here. Several stacks twice the height of me at any one time.It is of course theft though and therefore illegal. So yes, the evening is a good time go. (And just to note, the industrial estates around here run night-time security. So I would try the other avenues first).
Jez
Industrial estatesRetail parksSupermarketsAnywhere with factories or warehouses that don't have much outside storage space (a lot of em just leave the things in the road)....you get the idea. I'm sure I even saw some going on ebay a while ago if you REALLY wanna adhere to the law...Word of advice: reinforce the edges of a few of em with some 2"x2" wood to stand up to the odd harsh landing, otherwise you'll end up with a load of broken ones.Oh and avoid those ones with the plastice end slats - grip issues. Nothing like having yer back wheel spin when leaving for a gap...

MaXsteri
I get them from work Doesn't help you at all, but I guess i'm saying you should be resourceful. I even get to use the works van to bring them home
Waynio
if you find a local factory, usually they will give the cheaper poorer quality ones away. the blue ones are "rented/leased" BUT if you get the weak ones and plenty of them you can put them together and make em alot stronger places will give you the crap ones for free. therefore get enough of them and you'll be laughingWaynio............................
