liam-pantera
Hi everyone i was just wondering are trials specific clothes necessary.i realize in some competions shoes with ankle protection are mandatory but all off the monty skin tight trousers and jerseys aren't.So do you prefer to wear monty/koxx clothes or just stick to jeans/jogers and a shirt. anzo
Well, to be honest, 75 quid for a pair of Monty 'Limited Edition' shorts....you have to be stupid to buy them.Theres no real point to them, to be honest, I'd only ever wear them if I were sponsered by the manufacture. Although I don't mind 'casual' wear, tee shirts, hoodies and shit like that, the competition wear just looks a bit daft
Alun Goch
I don't see much point in them either, I think a comfy pair of tracksuit trousers and a t-shitr or jumper is ideal. Gloves are the only thing I wear for trials, and shin pads sometimes, though I really should wear a helmet...Alun
Synergy
i just started wearing my helmet, i noticed i have a bit more confidence.i also wear ribo shoes and a pair of gloves but clothes wise when im riding good old trackies are the best imo. ramps
I also think the Monty 'gimp suits' as I call them are stupid. Especially if you pay to look a willy! Getting them for free isn't quite as bad but still..... there poor. To me a pair of jeans or baggy combat style pants and a T-shirt or occasionally a decent looking jersey are the best clothing pieces to ride in. Trials Dave
the furthest i go with trials clothing as such is secndlayer clothing and a heatsink hoody with my name on (oooh ye) and my try-all shoes. comp gear etc looks a bit daft in my opinion. fine for comps but when riding street it looks a bit over the top.
