Robwalker
please stop, your pointless posts are making me cry and by far are a waste of space. Dont come up with stupid ones like 'how far can you gap', fair enough a good question but there's no real point to it, people cant expand on it, all they can say is the legnth they can do then thats it. Try something a bit more better, 'how can i improve my gapping?' for example, and instead of just repeating the topic title explain that you can only gap so far and you was wondering what other ways people have found helps improve? Please think before you post, its not getting you anywhere and you'll be complaining soon that you can't be validated, (although i wouldnt be surprised if you've made a topic on that already)Please take note of thisRobAnd i got into trials through seeing it on TV, i was already into dirt jumping and watchin Drop in TV, i caught a bit of trials on there and was inspired, addapted my bike to do a bit of trials and just worked on from there. Infact i got a new one today, Also i am only replying in this topic because i got a puncture, Otherwise i'd be improving my sidehopping,wheel-swapping, tapping and dropping

Danny_G
A mate had a really nice Kona (can't remember what) but i decided to get a Kona NuNu. After a while we started to get into Dirt Jumping like making mounds, jumping down loads of stairs or riding through our shopping precint really quick and pulling manuals or wheelies.... ahhhh those were the days After a while we met a couple of local trials riders and really liked what they were doing, looked poetic like they were 1 with there bike. Like some Jackie Chan sh*t.... So we decided to get into trials that way, by watching those who already did it!!Hope that helps!
poopipe
I decided bmx was too dangerous for someone of my age and I wasn't going to buy a bike with big gay wheels and gears so I bought a mod.
MasterOfGussets
I decided bmx was too dangerous for someone of my age and I wasn't going to buy a bike with big gay wheels and gears so I bought a mod.I was the other way round... grew out of my BMX and wanted a grown-up's bike. Started jumping around on my old 18 speed. Finally met a couple of local trials riders and loved it. Changed to a single 22t chainring and a bashring and started learning balance and hopping around on the back wheel... eventually snapped the rear axle as I remember. Before I got around to fixing it friends joined the services or moved away so I quit years ago... just getting back into it now because I needed a hobby that would keep me fit in my old(er) age. Danny Kearns
A mate come into school on his trials bike and i really liked the look of it. He then showed me what kind of stuff you can do on them and i asked him for a go and he said yes fair enough and i thought god these feel very weird but i went a brought one, well i had it for christmas cause it was only about 2 weeks away. 2 weeks later i went riding with my freind once i had got used to my own t-bird and he had the t-pro the one that looked very similar to the t-bird and i was better than him after 2 weeks of riding and he had been riding 3 months And it went from there on and here i am now still keeping it up although my ankle is broken at the moment but i am not going to let that stop me and once i am out of plaster, i will leave it to rest for a week and off i go.Big ride here we come, where ever it will be. Cheers !

Nuke Bowel
Hello, welcome to the forum.I got into trials through a friend, he bought a trials bike which I learnt how to back hop, it felt sooooo good when I got the hop, He told me to jump on here. Got validated pretty quick so I was able to ask for advise on products, look on the forsale/wanted section. After a couple of weeks I got myself a Koxx levelboss and now I have been doing it for a couple of months Luke
