Tinted Laquer (or Lacquer - Whatever)...

'lo,

I want to spray my BMX frame, but I want to strip the paint off so it's raw, then just laquer it. However, I want the laquer to be tinted, so it'll be like a clear-blue colour or whatever. Does anyone know if it's possible to get coloured laquer anywhere? I've tried google, but didn't really get anywhere. I've tried the local Motorworld type shop place and they didn't have any either, just clear laquer...

I'm not super fussed on colour atm, just wanted to see how much it'd cost.

Thanks for any help.

Just to throw an idea into the (paint.. ha!) pot, how would laquer that had been painted on look?

'Cos you can but just a pot of it that you paint on with a brush, and you could mix it yourself using food dye or similar.

yeah £10 a can for custom cans at halfords, they might need a paint code off you though not too sure . .

halfords have an online store too btw (Y)

Cool, I'll check their online store then and see what's what :)

Lookout for 'candy' colours :)

Call me retarded for asking then, but does Candy just mean that they've got the see-through look? I know Mongoose did a "Candy apple red" BMX before that was like tinted laquery almost, but I wasn't too sure if that was just the name of that one colour...

thiat was basica;;y what we were going to do to bowens koxx. i think moterworld said they could oder it in for us.

The guys at Motorworld can actually go down and nosh on my cock before I ever order anything from them, ever. Unless nowhere else in the world does it at all.

I'm guessing getting a nice finish with a brush would be a load harder than spraying it onto a frame?
