Bouncey Tyres, Echo Supertrial, Monty

Burton

Recommended Posts

Yo,

I was wondering if any stock the Echo Super Trial tyre (rear) or the Monty tyre (rear), both pretty much the same.

I've had no luck on any websites, so maybe some people may have them in the back of a shop?

Also, what are the Newer Monty tyres like? I know they're pretty much Maxxis copies, but i was wondering about the sidewalls.

Thanks again!

Just use less air you fag!

Ride lighter! :P

dont you think hed be doing that if it worked  dont be stupid runnin low pressure in a tyre with thin sidewalls does hardly anything, thats why hes after a bouncy tyre, nah the new montys arent bouncy just grippy, you cant get any of them no more :( , look around and ask people who might have a set spair

Ask Dan Ko @ Trials-UK, I'm sure he's got some somewhere, maybe not new but... He may have them for "personal use" though.

(For advertising e-mail banners@trials-forum.co.uk) - erm looks like I can't post his MSN... however you can find it on the site.

well from the 26" version i rode.

ITS not that good. I thought it was horrible, but not sure on mod version

The mod version is completely different, the 26" tyres where a bit awfull. There's no white line around these tyres, the tread pattern is the same and stupidly thick side walls still.

Phil.

They sound very interesting!

Any pictures!? Compound? Weight? Price?

I got a monty tyre with the yellow line round it and i cant wait to get rid of it!!

I keep puncturing it even running 50 psi, its so damn annoying, plus running high pressures to stop pinching just takes all the bounce out anyway!!!

I'm tempted to use sticky fingers just for the sheer thickness of the side walls on them!!!

You know thats not clever don't you? Im sure Try-alls have better pinch protection. Ive had 1 pinch after nearly 6 months of them (no tread left but still good protection (Y) )

Yup its actually pretty stupid, ill have to ride in full body armour to stop me killing myself when it slips, which i can garaunte(sp) will happen a hell of a lot.

would get a try-all but i don't have the cash, i guess i could line my monty with a lot of old tubes!
