duane
Hi,I see that many people recommend the Nokon cables with a V-Brake setup, my first question is, is there any differentce between the MTB and the BMX versions, and which is most suited to trials ?And the next question, can I use a brake booster with Avid Ultimate V-Brakes, from the pictures I have seen it doesn't look as it you can ?Thanks Duane. Caleb
yeah you can run a booster just need to use spacers to bring the booster above the arms for clearance .still depends on your seat set up though.im running nokon cable up front and its definitely the best ive ever used.not sure about the differences between the two however
CurtisRider
get the bmx version, it gives you a full outer, the mtb doesnt and makes you use the cable stops-which sucksas for boosters, i have run boosters with 5mm spacers and they have been fine on my ultimates dont really need a boooster wiht a v though, unless you have a really shite frame nokons really are the tits and will totally transform your brake
duane
Thanks for the replies, I would have got the MTB cables which won't work with my Base 26, so that has saved me some trouble, especially as I live in Dubai. Thanks Duane.
