Dan6061
1. Cnc'd lever blades: Who has them? Are they worth the money? What's the difference, between them, and the 'normal' ones I have at the moment? (The ones I have are the '04 ones, not the olllld ones) 2. Bleed kit hosing: All I need is tubing. I have all the fittings, and a huge syringe. Will Homebase have anything for the job? At work (Halfords) I've seen this 'Washer Tubing' stuff, that my colleague uses for bleeding his Hayes Disc brakes. Will that do? It looks too wide... I need the tubing today really, as I wanna ride. And I've just ballsed up my brake. (The piston in the lever was slow, so I took it out [lever facing upwards so no water escapes] and lubed it up) If not, I'll use the bash technique. Cheers. King C
The cnc blades are pretty much the same as the old ones but they have a nice hole so you can see how much the tpa has winded in/out.
Guest
Ive got some silver lever on the front which has the lever 'back' cut out(as standard), its f**kin pissing me off as everytime I go for something big, I end up taking a chunk out of my thumb right on the bend.....Id advise against them..... Heatsink
I agree with the post above. The rear of the CNCed lever has sharp edges CNC is the 3rd up. The others are all better! For the tubing, 2.5mm ID tubing, preferebly clear and the right material for enough flexibility to get the fittings in, but not too flexible that it bulges when you squirt the syringe. The minimum order quantities are usually high, which is the problem. I'm afraid I can't send you any small bits because they've all been taken for bleed kits Good luck!Steve
Guest
Mine is actually more like the 3rd one down, it's major hassle.....edit: i said 3rd down, but meant the 4th down.... Edited May 14, 2006 by jake1516
Dan6061
Ok, i'll leave the CNC'd blades alone. I just ordered some new levers, to sort out my ones. I'm pretty sure both of mine are f**ked now. They are old though... Anway, I got some tubing aswell, the Washer tubing from Halfords. It's perfect. Might aswell close the topic.
