Imovie Help

just need help with a couple of things, how do i cut a song short as its to long for my vid and whats the best way to export it? ive just done it on the cd rom setting and its a little poor.

Not sure about the latest version of iMovie but just when you've got the song on the bottom of the screen, just go to the far right hand side scroll thing of it, and draw the end of it back, to where your footage finishes.

It's a bit gay, and I couldn't export to MPG i seem to remember, only .mov.

Use Custom settings, pick your frame size etc. Keep it under 100 mb and people will be happy if its longer than 5 mins

File > Share > Quicktime > Expert Settings

And there's plenty of stuff to muck around with on there. H264, MP4, wmv (I think you might need the flip4mac thing for that), take your pick

awsome cheers i tried dragging the song like you said but it didnt do anything. it is the latest imovie so im not compleatly sure on how it works should be fairly the same as the older ones though.

right this really isnt working and i have no idea whats wrong with it i movie help is rubbish and i cant find any decent answers. :@ im on about the song that is, ive tried dragging it but it doesnt move the song stays still.
