The lemonade man
As I can't afford to buy another trials bike, I'm going to build up a stock from spare parts so I don't need to buy as much until I have money.Anyway, just wondering a few things such as tyres. What widths would you suggest front and back? I'm thinking high rollers 2.5 rear and 2.35 front?Wheels, what would it be like riding a frame designed for 26" with 24's? (planet-x zebdi)? Just always liked to try 24".Flat bars or risers? Or are both generally used.Thats it really, thanks alot.
Ben Geary
Tyers i would go with maybe a Highroller 2.35 on front and on the rear i would go for a dual ply Maxxis Minion 2.5.
Robwalker
Hey Risers if your going 24 deff, but i dont know too much about the wheels, if it can be done do it . And as for tyres i tend to like a 2-2.1ish on the front and a 2.5ish on the rear. Rob

loffa
You can't run a rear rim brake when using 24" wheels in a 26" frame.

mat hudson
the 26 inch frame has a geo for 26" wheels with 24" the bb will be tooo low
Krisboats
the 26 inch frame has a geo for 26" wheels with 24" the bb will be tooo lowIt won't. So long as the wheels are both the same size the bb should be in the same position height wise as it would if there was 26" wheels in there, its measured between the wheel axles remember The bb will be a lot further away from the edge of the wheel than it would be with a 26" wheel in there so i don't know how thats going to affect it. Caleb
no think about it with 26" wheels the bb will sit like 13" above the ground if the b height was 0mm (monty urban etc)with 24" it will be 13" above the ground so an inch closer which is 25 mm, therefore -25mm which isnt good.you could always put stackers under your headtube.a co worker at halfords when i was tere actually did that on a pdi'd bike funniest thing ever lol, didnt tell him to see if he noticed . . . he didntevertrue story
Ali C
It won't. It will ride ok with 24" (i know) but it won't feel anywhere as good as a proper 24" frame, leeson, curtis, ashton, etc...
