Hey all,

I'm gonna get a tool set cos i keep losing my tools  or they get 'niked'.

I've been looking at Wiggle, CRC, and Bikedock, and i've noticed they're all quite expensive.

The cheapest set i can find is the 'LifeLine Bicycle Tool Set' from wiggle which is £39.99, Does anyone know where else i could find tool sets from? cheap? :P

Thanks, Benny :)

Go to Halfords, buy a cheapo tool box, and then buy what ever you need made by Park Tool. Don't skimp when paying for tools, you will only have to pay it back 3 times asmuch when you thread/strip or snap said bike part.

I snapped/bent/warped/melted/blew up/ dissinergrated/wrecked/scared mine from the pound store lol cheap shit = unhappy person. I bought them to use to tighen my rotor bolts, then chucked the tool in a pond as my fingers could get the bolts tighter.

I got a toolset from halfords for £100 reduced from £150, best set ever and has the same warranty as snap on.

Then just buy the odd bike tools like allen keys etc and youve got urself a top spec toolset.

Don't buy cheap because you will just end up breaking them and having to pay out more in the long run

Surely these dont look tacky, do they??? :turned:

Anyone actually heard of 'Lifeline'??

I have that exact one, it's really good, the quality of it is brilliant but the spoke key and chain tool have both snapped on mine, but everything else is awsome. i would go for it if i was you.

That set is very similar to one my dad bought me from LIDL, and personally I wasn't pleased with it, same with anything else I've got from there. The crank puller stripped the threads on my jump bike, the chaintool managed to loose one of the (spikey things that hold the chain), and a multitool I had snapped when I tried to take off a pedal. Bikehut tools are really good quality, pedal spanners, allen keys go for park tool everytime, and some long tee handled ones for clearance when setting 4 bolt maguras, get a bikehut crank puller, block pof wood for headsets and any ole hammer, decent track pump, booiikehut black chain tool( better than the big park tool one imo!

yeah bikehut stuff is good, but geta aprktool allen key set, theyre " simply the best "
