BeNNy
Servicing and Tightening ACS Claws! (yea its boring as...)I had ago at this and spent most of the day poncing about wasting time and getting really f**ked off with it, so I thought I'd at least makeuse of the time I wasted by telling how people how to do it well..Im gonna asume that you have it off a wheel/crank, but its not too important, just makes life easier...Right, first thing you will see is this:[1st image]See the two dimple things? this is what you use to undo the cover, find something suitable to fit in the hole (I found a pin-punch, or across head screwdriver are pretty good..) Put your chosen implement in one of the dimples, get a hammer and tap the whatever hard in aclockwise direction (look at pic above, if your unsure), it should start to give, when you can turn it by hand stop, take it somewhere you'll be able to find any dropped bearings, I dropped f**k loads of mine and had to split open an old freewheel to get some more, be careful..Put it on a flat surface, then undo the cover, you will see this, but with the BB's and spacer shim things inplace in place..[image2]Thats the best i could find, too bad the pictures dont work Benny
1337 Trials
Isn't that on about taking it apart/loosening it ???

1337 Trials
If I tighten it how long will it last before it goes loose again ????
Hobnobs
Few hours/days. Just tighten it before every ride, and when it seems to be getting loose. Just get a screw driver, kneel on the non-drive side, poke said screwdriver into the holes on the innerside of the freewheel and turn anti clockwise. If you need leverage, use the seat tube as a pivot.

JT!
Use the search, there's endless topics on this AlunThat post was alot more pointless than this topic.Anyway ACS lockrings work themselves loose, they like doing it, they get sexual pleasure from doing it. Simply get a screwdriver, and tighten it back up...See those two tiny holes, that's what you use to tighten it.
CBProductions
haha JT your a legend and yes I do think they take sexual pleasure in reminding yourself to buy an eno / save up lol ... My acs was fine or at least what I could tell , just always carry a screw driver around with you and dont run your chain immensly tight. 1337 Trials
ok.thanks.Do you have to take the crank of to tighten it?
CBProductions
Not at all , just get a long screw driver , wedge it in the tiny hole facing forewards and pull the crank towards you ( do all th is from the rear of the bike )

Dr Greenthumb
you may need to flip your bike upside down, i have to on my python.Whilst on this topic i've found an awesome tool for tightening the freewheel, tis a 3.99 centrepunch from halfords they're proper durable, perfect width tip and they don't bend like a screwdriver, handy to carry around on rides aswell
poopipe
pah! don't buy a tool - it's not ghetto enough. steal a 6 inch masonary nail (preferably rusty) and carry that around with you - then do what cbproductions said
Jules
Not as bad as my mates '1 kickhop' freewheel.
Alun Goch
That post was alot more pointless than this topic.Sorry, just thought I'd point it out, there's some really good advice that people have spent time writing on stuff like this. After the same question gets asked over and over, the answeres get lazier, the best advice can be found in previous topics.Appologies if you thought I was being negative.Alun
JT!
It's not just that, i'm not a fan of all this new member bashing, "use the seach" and "Look in the brake pad topic" are useless.New members are people who need the advice the most. If he were to search, say he put in ACS, he'd probably get every single topic about mods on the whole froum. Which is no good. Plus he didn't really know what he was looking for. He didn't know what his freewheel was braking.
JT!
Please note that Onzaboymark has deleted 2 posts. He did this becuase he gave some incorret facts about trials forum's search feature and he would have looked really really stupid if he didn't. Silly boy.
