flipkickbs
I wouldn't even worry about it mate, a good bleed with normal tap water is about as good as you will get. Ian

flipkickbs
Buy it from halfords, but its really not worth it.......Ian
CBProductions
http://www.easi.org/programs/techtips.htm That explains the process and I would suggest just buying it instead of trying to make it. Although I believe there is no point as tap water will do the job just fine.
T.McMillan
you can make de-ionised water from boiling it, straight from the kettle the "ions" in the water get boiled out and evapourate, answer your question?
Ash-Kennard
think about it people, if you don't want air in your brakes then don't use water, unless it is de-ionised.1. it will rot you seals2. will rust it up good n proper3. water is 1/3 oxygen!!! chasthetrialsrider
if you have a water filter for drinking water then put the water in when it comes out of the filter it is deionizedor put a large magnet on your water pipe it removes the iron trust me it works
Robwalker
think about it people, if you don't want air in your brakes then don't use water, unless it is de-ionised.1. it will rot you seals2. will rust it up good n proper3. water is 1/3 oxygen!!!But its a compound so that it still needs another oxygen atom to make it reactive! So if you dont have any air in your brakes then there's no harm!Rob
MikeHayes
think about it people, if you don't want air in your brakes then don't use water, unless it is de-ionised.1. it will rot you seals2. will rust it up good n proper3. water is 1/3 oxygen!!!I disagree, firstly like it matters if you have air in your system as long as the calipers return nicely and you have a nice feel to the brake, all is good. Secondly i would pay good money to watch aliminium rust It could oxadise slightly though, which will do jack all People do say that using water rots your seals, personally i think its a load of crap Tom Booth has had hs brake bled with the same water for nearlly 2 years and i have for just over a year.Neither of us nor all the other half of the trials polulation have had any trouble with seals rotting cheers
CBProductions
I don't believe it will rot them only slip past it slightly , as water is immensel thin compared to mineral oil and as maguras weren't designed for them then they will always be slight problems

MikeHayes
supposedly the stuff that comes out of the tumble dryer is deionised when its emptiedYeh, Not sure about that one. I have heard that water thats melted from ice is deionised Probably a mith i think. Just go and buy some or just bleed it with normal water. cheers andy
