will17will17
in fairness they are not exactly as good as a Hydraulic disc are they other wise they would be more popular...so yeah Edited May 9, 2006 by will17will17
adamtrials
in fairness they are not exactly as good as a Hydraulic disc are they other wise they would be more popular...so yeahIt seems that cable avids are the trialsers choice atm... the judge
Cable avids = reet goodThe brakes (HS33) would fit on vee mounts as you get EVO I/EVO II mounts with them (if bought new) Edited May 9, 2006 by the judge
will17will17
right, thanksand cable disc's if they popular then okay what ever floats your boat but I prefer hydraulic ones... like mine
lankyri
well if he has got a avid bb7 then hes got no worries as that brake is amazing, as for the rear maggies are good but then you have all these choices of pads and then if you want a grind or not, why not just get a decent v brake for the rear i.e. a avid 7 or arch rival with some coust v pads and if you know how to set up a v then it may be a better brake than a magura
Lee Cable
then it will may be a better brake than any magura Edited May 10, 2006 by radical rider

stetpro
yeah if you get your magura new it will come with a fitting (EVO1 or a EVO2)and with oil in so all that you need to do is put it on and set it up and you should have a good brake. T.McMillan
magura will fit
Ben :]
in fairness they are not exactly as good as a Hydraulic disc are they other wise they would be more popular...so yeahCant agree with you on that one sorry, I run a Hope Mono trial allthough I wish I had saved my money in buying a bb7 and having a more powerfull brake at the end of the day. Also a mechanical will cost you alot less time and money. No bleeding etc, just need to change the pads every now and then
<PACE>
Any v-brake can be as good as any magura if you keep it in good nick and maintain it. Keep the cable disc though, it will be better than a magura. Edited May 11, 2006 by <PACE>
will17will17
this post aint even about all this, i asked if a HS33 would fit ona v-brake mount? and not one sensible reply
mat hudson
it will with an evo mount, but to be honest your better off getting some decent pads and sticking with the v.

chasthetrialsrider
I would go for the hs33's with evo mounts because I all ways find with cables you don't know when the cable is going to snap maybe on a 10 ft drop on the back wheel maybe pulling an endo but whatever happens when it snaps you will get hurt
ogre
I would go for the hs33's with evo mounts because I all ways find with cables you don't know when the cable is going to snap maybe on a 10 ft drop on the back wheel maybe pulling an endo but whatever happens when it snaps you will get hurtIn all the years i've been biking i have only snapped one brake cable ever, so that isn't realy true, and on maggys you could kill the crossover bit which would be just as bad if not worse (new crossover if your unlucky and a bleed)
