JT!
It'd be nice to see it ridden, and not just spun in someones hands.

billocks
sounds like a profiles, but looks lighter and made with a bit more quality, how much ll they be and when they out??
PaRtZ
I know this may seem stupid, but when people said it doesn't spin, perhaps the flanges are rubbing against his hands as he turns it?Because that first coasting seems pathetic imo I know thats very harsh and I don't like to use it, but i can't really see it as anything else. Once these hubs are released and my current hub dies, then I am very likely to buy one (so please, im not slating echo at all) but only if that freewheel were to last longer lolMaybe you're right mark and its the stiff springs Looks ace though

Mines been perfect since the day I've got it with no skips and my mate has aswell (i've had mine about 6-7months and hes had his a year) so yeah, It won't just die like that, profiles are awesome? Mark W
but looks lighter and made with a bit more quality, No offense to Echo or anything, but they won't be as high quality as Profile hubs. Profiles are well known as being not far off the best of the best as far as hubs go, so I'm doubting the comparison of quality's there...But yeah, being ridden + internals are the only things I care about with it... downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Things keep getting smaller each year,m doesnt mean the hub HAS to be big to have that amount of EP, but meh, if its shit, its shit, but if its good, il buy one P.S, my front XC didnt spin THAT good when i got it new, and thats the front hub...Maybe its cause of the grease being new and thick?Or maybe its the high quality bearings? Trials Dave
is it just me or was that a person just stood spinning a wheel a few times?if its built up why didnt he go out riding on it and take a video?
Mark W
Things keep getting smaller each year,m doesnt mean the hub HAS to be big to have that amount of EP, True, but for strength of it they need to be wide enough to take the torsional load from the driver, as well as actually being large enough to be strong enough. By that I don't mean this one isn't, just saying...Almost all the BMX companies out there found that when they tried slimming their cassette hubs down that the torsion from the driver trying to rip itself out of the hub body when they reduced the depth of the pawl/ratchet area was too great, and as a result they all crapped out (notice how tiny the bit on the stock freehub was for the pawls/ratchet, and how quickly they died. Might be the same thing?). Now, all BMX companies are making them wider, and even going to three-pawl-wide ratchet systems. We'll see though I guess, when there are more people running them...How come Biff ended up getting this one of CLS then? CLS trying a new version or something?

Burton
After seeing 2 of them die within weeks, and skip loads just before their life end, i wouldn't buy one. Wouldn't ever let it get near my bike. Sound wise, well... its the sound of death.
joe b
right... hear we have a video of Biffs 72 engage Echo Hub! first 20 inch echo freehub in the country with the 72 pawl engagements, Works a treat!>>>>link to video<<<<Cheers PhillI'm really sorry too sound like a fanny, but... Why post a video of someone spinning a hub that no-one has? It's really pointless. To be honest i don't see why anyone would care that much about the hub.Fair enough, they might look alright and they might sound OK but, really id rather just have a picture of the wheel and a review. Because someone spinning a wheel over and over doesn't do anything for me .Sorry...Joe.
munkee
wow some people are being very narrow minded. Since when has it ever mattered what a hub looks like? Since when have the users of trials-forum been able to say how good a hub will ride just from the sound? It now also seems the guy is getting ripped for posting the video in the first place? seriously .. what the hell is wrong with you all. If he put a post up saying " i have a new echo 72 engament hub" or something along the lines there would have been piles of posts of "oh my f**king god post a vid and take some pics"... i dont get this place at all. I can definately agree with you, with some people. Thinking about it now. But i can honestly tell you that if someone posted saying they have a new echo freehub. I would say, "Cool. How does it ride? How did you get hold of one?" etc. But i can definately agree with what your saying if you would relate it to a minority of the forum! Cheers,Joe.
