trialsalot Posted May 7, 2006 Report Share Posted May 7, 2006 hey every one!just got in from todays tyketrial at back cowm quarry.first ever comp but i found it solid.tried to grit my teeth an get on with it but ended retiring,lol a massive thanks goes out to waynio who was spot on all day long!!if youre wandering who i am waynio its the daft geordie who took a closer look at the ground on section 7 on my adamant,lol.there was some spot on riding being done by all and a massive amount of talent being shown out there!so big props out to all the guys an gals who rode today!i entered in intermediate but ended getting four 5s in a row and one clean.first comp though an it can only get better.still enjoyed myself alot though.oh yeah,the little session with a load of riders at the gates before the comp was spot on to....bit of a low tap performed by mr ali c though sure that would of got the haert pumping a bit and cheers for mr stan shaw for saying hi....kinda!!!not sure what the result were in other categories but im sure mr brett"the beast" penfold was numero uno in my category.massive thank to brett too for babysitting me at the trial too.lol.cheers everybody Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ali C Posted May 7, 2006 Report Share Posted May 7, 2006 ha ha, that tap was a little nerverecking I was pretty impressed with some of the stuff you were doing by the gate shame you retired.I was a little worried before the comp as I was riding like a right muppet, but as soon as I got in the sections I sorted myself out.I did my first lap with 4 dabs, but a 5 spoilt my 2nd lap, I cleaned the rest bar one dab. finnished on 10 dabs in eliteI thought the sections were good, very fun to ride even if the weather tried to put a downer on things.I wish they didnt combine the 20" with 26" though, I would have come first then instead of 3rd Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

trialsalot Posted May 7, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 7, 2006 cheers ali awefully nice of you!there was loads of good stuff going down on the rock by the gate.nice hooks and an stuff.i wanted to kicker of the little bank to back wheel but only made it to both.you had a close call on section 9 or ten(the one that was on the top of the cliff).i heard some clatter,looked up and what do i see....ali c mid air,bike on its way somewhere else,lol.definately 10 solid style points for the dismount! Just kidding buddy . But if only youd have had 4 or more silly dabs then i could have came second. Ah well, you know love you really Tom! But overall i thought it was a wicked comp. The sections were actually 'amazing'! The weather stayed good for the best part of the day! It was really well organised (as per usual). And to top it all off, i wasnt riding like an utter fag! For anyone who was there but didnt know who i was. I was the Lois Morgan look-a-like on the silver 05 Monty with a racline rear magura. Can't wait for Brimham... Cheers,Joe. You shouldnt have retired though mate, you would have done fine mate.I loved playing on the big rocks next to the gate. I could have played there all day if the trial wasnt on. Also liked Ali c's VERY low tap on that rock, you didnt look/sound to happy after that lol.The sections today were very good and well thought out. I did inter but found i am getting a bit better than that now so will be moving to expert next i think.Big thanks to everyone who rode today, all of the observers, Barbra and Waynio and just everyone who helped make today happen.Brett...... Waynio Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 im sorry i have to say Ali C you are on TOP form my friend, like i said to you on the way back from Kelly Farm Devon, iv seen the quality and the style from 2 years back!!!! when you white washed the british championship. there was no way i was going to be up there yesterday. was totally out of it after the 1st section really, just felt really un happy with myself but was really happy with everyone else trying and having a good time. trialsalot if you want to PM me and exchange numbers would be kool to meet up @ somepoint for a ride if you wish. both to you and your friend/friends would be kool to hook up. alot of effort went in by both of you!!!! the lad on the GU specially after he changed his pads, i nearly had to use his bike LOL!!!! just got all my new heatsink stuff to fit on so next time i will be better prepared.overall a good + day all in all, had a wikid time and to everyone who said "hello" and got chatting with me, was great and hope to see you all at the next one. was so nice to have such a positive attitude, its the 1st tykes iv ridden this year due to my "injury schedule" haha but boy it was a good un.i must apologise to barbara for leaving early and not helping take the gazeebo down and sucvh forti really did need to get home to put my shoulder strap back on and get myself taped back up for repair. am still aching today!!! havent been this bad for at least a couple of years Regards to all!!!! was a pleasure seeing so many people there.Young lad on the 16" kids bike, which his dad "modified" the gearing on for him, was pulling wheelies all day, he must only be 5 or 6 and god i wish i had as much energy as he did Waynio........................Bring on my Favourite VENUE EVER!!!!! Waynio Posted May 8, 2006 Report Share Posted May 8, 2006 sam well done young man!!!!it wasnt long ago you was only doing inter!!! was well shocked at some of the results just how quickly some of the young guns are coming along amazingly. well done to all.Cant wait for Brimham barbara im sure i will be there for the camp over if i cant make it for the fun trial, i will deffo camp was sooooooooooo funny like 3 years ago cheers again to everyone who turned up. i think the young lads dad on here is called "Herman" he is the father of the 2 young lads, one i have now officially named "Wheelie king" and the other must be "Casualty man" as i think he was having a bad day for crashing he was still riding around all day with a smile on his face though which was great to see.im also very impressed with the young lad from Barnsley, im not 100% sure of his name but his dad observed section5, hes always got 100% commitment and effort. so good to see so much young talent coming throughWaynio.........................
