N Roach
The zona zip, full bike, with onza parts, from supercycles sounds quite reasonable for £519 but not shore on what the feel will be like. Can you leave your comments or complaints on, what do your think the bike will be like? Thanks Edited May 7, 2006 by chocolate_bikes
poopipe
I'm not entirely convinced - it sounds like it's a zip frame with t-pro bits sold at £80 over the odds to me.the standard steel onza forks weigh about quarter of a ton and make bikes ride like cack - the stem and bars are ok but aren't all that pleasant or light. If it comes with a front disk, its on a par with the t-mag in terms of value - which is a pretty good deal.If it's got maggies all round, you're paying an extra £80 for a t-pro with a cheaper frame - which is a pretty shit deal. this is all speculation - and based on the premise that it's got the same component set as the standard t-pro/t-mag (cos theres no pictures on the website)

Super Cycles
No, you didn't.I can clear it up: you phoned Mark Anthonys by mistake.Sorry for going off topic. Edited May 8, 2006 by Super Cycles
Mike Poyzer @ Onza
First of all the Zip frame is twice the cost of a T-Pro frame. It is made in Taiwan not China and is a much higher quality. Its normal retail is cheap because it is our no frills consumer direct brand and is designed to be sold only as a frame, not a complete cycle. We do not sell the T-Pro frame seperately only as a service replacement. We have only made the Zip available as an optional build because we were asked to by several people. If we built a Zona Zenith T-Rex bike it would be at least £150 more than a standard T-Rex. Just because its a cheap frame retail that doesn't mean it is lower quality. With Zona's its quite the reverse, it just means we make less profit.
poopipe
First of all the Zip frame is twice the cost of a T-Pro frame. er...[attachmentid=4457]I'm not having a go at onza/zona honest - I own a t-pro and I love it with all my fluffy little heart, I also like the way the frames cost half as much (or less) than the competition. It's just that going by the prices listed on supercycles website the complete zip is a shite deal ( assuming the component set is the same as the t-pro). Mark W
Not 100%, but I'm gathering that the price the guys at Supercycles have to pay per frame for the Zip is higher than the T-Pro, but they make it so they're even at frame only price by having very low mark-up on the Zip. Therefore, if the frame costs more for them, the price would be different if it was a full bike, simply because it'd add up differently, if you get me?EDIT: I don't know what the rest of the parts are, btw. I just meant I can see how there might be a price difference if there was a direct swap of the frames alone, although I'm guessing some parts are probably different if there's a £100 difference... poopipe
I'm only working on the assumption that it's got a t-pro component set. Like I said, if it's got a disk it's as good a deal as the t-mag - if not better.I never said shite bike (except the bit about the forks - I stand by that) - it's just when you compare the costs (to the customer) of the frames against each other it doesn't seem a good deal. It could be that the t-pro is horribly overpriced of course... In which case I'll be expecting my £80 refund in the post Edited May 8, 2006 by poopipe
Dan6061
I'm not liking the full build to be honest. I'd say it should have the T-Master bar and stem and different forks. Not worth the £500 to me...
N Roach
Over all it seems to be a heap!
