M3LLON_t-mag
Profile mini cassette or a chris king but if u can run a Eno i would go for that i run one on my mod cheaper than a king hub and same engagements my mate rides one on his VINCO and he has no problems cracks to begin with but beds in fast and feels grate when it is beded in
will17will17
if your riding stock , 26" get chris king if your riding mod i'd go for profile mini cassete hub or a eno its up to you , how much you want to spend? dean
Chris king is the best, but its pricey. Hope pro 2 would be my second choice Eno's are good but i'm not sure about on a stock. Worked well on mod though.
Clarky
King is the KING but when it comes down to it pro2's offer a lot for the money, you dont even notice less engagement then that of the king.Clarky

Clarky
Hope XC's seem quite popular? The hope xc i have been running for 1 year and half they are reliable, yet the engagement is utter wank.Clarky
loks
OK so chrisking for stock is the best...( i need maximal safety)...but there is 6 versions...Classic, ISODisc, Universal, SingleSpeed, SingleSpeedDisc, Tandem....so WHICH ONE ??? i don't need disc brake mounts
lankyri
people say chris king alot but all you are buying is a name ok it has the most engagements and sounds like a zip tie but everyone that i know who has had a king has broke it one way or another, i admit they are good hubs but i know 4 people that have broken them.profile on a mod are good but on a stock i have heard that they blow up and also my friend has had problems with profile and messing him about with sending him back his profile hope on the other hand i have had a XC BULB and now the PRO 2 and must say thisxc- lack of engagements but when i had it it never skipped once and its also a great hub for the begginersbulb- slightly more engaements and more expensive but i did snap to axles in that hubpro 2- been out riding on this hub once and i love it it sounds so nice very good value as well and hope are great people, like when i snapped my axle i sent the whole whel to them they replaced the axle and i as back out riding the weekend after and front freewheels dont even want to try themthats my verdict hope this helps

Onza Kieron
Go for the Pro 2, its designed for trials, It's hope so you get amazing warrenty and it doesn't have to be perfectly spotless to prevent slippage, Kings seem to have to be spotless to offer safe engagement. Deonn h
If you want maximum safety go for the pro 2 , as chris kings do tend to skip at early stages. But if you let the king bed in then they hardly skip.Don`t get an eno though they just skip all the time .So pro 2 if you ask me , or if you don`t care about money get a king. DAB
HOPE.... the name you can trust..... i use xc mono ti hubs and have for years, and i trust them.... and yes i have tried others and there never as reliable... the pro 2 seams good but i've seen them skip already.. as there only running on 2 pawls at a time... but then i'd trust it more than any other hub.. Ali C
hope pro 2 gets my choice, I have had mine for a couple of months and it hasnt skipped once. Its totally reliable, I have 100% faith in my hub which I didnt in my king Also the warrentee and aftermarket care you get with hope is amazing.another thing I REALLY like is the dishless wheel, you can really feel the extra stiffness. Ben Geary
King for the win When i got my bike it had a King and it was skipping like every week. Something just wernt right with it, so i finally got some balls and had a look at it my self, when i took it all apart ... well what i could i cleaned all the shit out becuase it didn't seem very fresh and then re lubed it all up. It was sound after that, then i Got me wheel built by Tarty so i thought he may aswell give it a propper service for me with the propper tools. I've now been running it with the tarty service for around 3 months and it's not had one skip and before that it didn't skip with my service either. These hubs are the Ultimate, there just the sex ... make such a nice noise and i trust mine with my life.Great Hubs if you have the money for them, i've also been on a bike with a Pro2, it felt nice didn't really notice the engagement or anything. It seem'd good to me but they havent been out long enough to right a real review up on them.Get a King if you have the money, Pro2 if your on a budget ... either way there both great Hubs . Ben :]
I'm currently useing a hope xc hub on the rear at the moment, if you look after them i.e servicing them regualy there pretty good. Allthough the hub I have my eye on at the moment is the hope pro 2. I have a friend that owns one and its been extremely reliable for him Edited May 8, 2006 by Ben :]
