deanie-b
no oil? more oil?cheers!WilliomHi willWith ENO'S I found (Before I blew the muvva up) that you really have to find a happy medium with how much oil you use, try adding 5 drops or so in to the mechanism, and then go from there
Bionic Balls
did you put new grease back in? just checking...i built mine back up with x-lite bikespray/wd40...apart from ze bearings...of course..adam
Hobnobs
It may be coming loose. I know ENO's dont do that in theory, but in practice they can. My old one came loose every so often, and skipped a lot until it was tightened.

Mark W
Light dusting with GT-85 always worked for me. You could stretch the springs a bit I guess, but just make sure you've reassembled it correctly and so on I suppose...
Will Arnold
just stripped it, cleaned and re-lubed it.seems to be making a louder click but has alot of drag because i stretched the springs, or atleast i think thats the reason anyways, seems ok, i'll report back tomoz night after a good old ride on it.cheersWill
JT!
no oil?I've never used oil, or any kind of lube for that matter. My eno does skip, about once a day, never doing anything big, just when riding to the spots.

Mark W
Eno's very rarely "Do a King" and end up properly shitting the bed when they skip, it will just go "Click" or "Bang" and you'll not get quite as much power. It skipped on me once or twice doing gaps, and I made them every time just 'cos it always engages next ratchet point, and that's like f**k all distance away, so it's all good
Waynio
mine has banged and wanged like half dozen times BUT only on the first few rides it hasnt done it for a good few days.but like mark says it does actually pick up at the very next point, i dont seem to have lost any power at all when mine has banged and wanged, altho it did put me off a couple of times. but its just one of those things, iv learnt to live with it, il go back to THE old trust worthy hope soon.Waynio.................... Greetings
Had the same problem a year ago and solved it successfully. Check that the ratchet is ok and that the wedges are deep and aren't rounded off. If they are use a file and give them a nice edge. Take the blue seal out and assemble the freewheel. Start rotating the chainring very slowly and looking into it (where you had the seal) you will see the pawls engaging. Check that all three are engaging simultaneously. If they aren't, mark the one which engages last, take it out and file it down ever so slightly, then put it back. Repeat until all three pawls are engaging at the same time. If there's still a problem, take the pawls out and throw them into a vice. Align them next to each other as accurately as possible and file them down at an angle so they fit the ratchet nicely when engaged. Make sure that the pawls have the same length. If there is an engagement problem go back to step 2 Bend the springs to that the pawls engage more firmly. Use very thin oil on the ratchet. I didn't use any and it was ok.
