b'mouth trials
Hey, ive been looking for some new pads for my front vee. I was thinking of getting plaz crm's but cleanbikes are out of stock and tarty dont sell them..So does anyone know where i can get some?If not, ive seen the v- fly pads but im not sure how they would perform. I ride a smooth front rim and would really like to avoid tar if possible, would these pads be ok on a smooth rim?If there is any better performing pad on the market could someone suggest some other options please..Heatsinks maybe? If so which compound?Any help would be great as im not too great with pads..Cheers, Aaron .

Jez
I've got some heatsink reds on at the moment, seem pretty good to be honest. Also seem to work better when they warm up a bit - if you've been riding all day your brake is incredible at the end. Apparently the reds are supposed to be identical to the whites in performance. Not great in the wet (takes a complete revolution of the rim to clear all the water off before it bites I think), but seem to work pretty well when it's just a bit damp for some strange reason... mat hudson
my coust pads in v backings really really are really really good. loud as fook though works for scaring off dogs who want to bite you
scott-mad
if you wanted a cheap option then them samoln pads or avid rim wranglers would be good on the front but heatsink reds if you have more money, coust pads may be abit over kill on the front? im using the coust pads on my rear v-brake works amazing
ScotchDave
I'd go for sink reds for the front, I also hear rumours that rimjam may have some new pads coming soon.
