Guest
I havn't come across anthing about illing anyone just yet, but the dustcap thread was a shitfest, this is one just waiting to happen too.......Why bother, wern't you the one who said that it was just a joke, and that there should be no bad feelings about mis-understanding and such.... JT!
1. It was a really shit joke.2. We've all seen it, and all that would be posted in it afterward would be people saying "this topic is shit" or "your f**king stupid".So there's no reason to keep it active. Mark W
I'm not the one who closed it, but probably because it was an utterly wank thread? As I said, I'm not the one who did it, but that's what I'd put my money on. It had pretty much gone as far as it was going to anyway, so it's not like it's a great loss to English literature or anything?
mat hudson
it was fun caling each other names but the actual topic was shit i hope he got a warn for spam!
1a2bcio8
My topic was satirical. Sounds like the dustcap one was as well. This is the problem with moderation, it relates to a few individuals idea of what is right and wrong even when perhaps fundamentally there's no difference the percieved right and wrong. I think we should have an anarchistic forum rather than an oligarchy. Shall we have a revolution and cut off all the heads of the moderators? Mark W
I should probably delete your post or edit it to say you support our actions or something. One moderation action today = head saved tomorrow In Ben-related stuff: What are you up to these days? You sorta disappeared for a bit, then re-appeared almost as a different person... tomturd
I was gonna close it after the first post but decided to leave it open.. Probably a wrong decision as when I came back, it was, as expected, full of shit. And thankfully already closed.Atleast a topic about killing people actually involves some sort of discussion. JT!
I still think we should have a 'playground' subforum, where shit topics arn't closed but moved to the playground so people can fight it out and argue and joke about without it getting in peoples way.
Mark W
Most people on here wouldn't get the point though, and it wouldn't just stay in the 'playground' area or whatever, it'd get dragged into other threads. It's what happens here usually when there's some kind of ruckus anyway?

Not to mention the amount of abuse that would start flying around in there- which is of course against the rules anyway. And as Mark said, the crap and general attitude from there would start spilling over into the rest of the forum, and it wouldnt be pretty. I havent even read this dustcap thread, but from what I 've heard, it sounds like its full of bilge and I would have closed it to.

It was funny, untill someone didnt find it funny. If you get what i mean. Then all of the bitching started. I can understand the moderators, closing it. Cause it was turning into a bitching match. From Lee
1a2bcio8
That was a drunk post last night. Anyhow, yes I'm back and different. My life has always been sccrewed up but then it got much worse and I gave up riding but things are better now and my new/second hand trials bike arrived today actually. Although the rear brake seems to be shagged in contradiction to how it was advertised I may have a video on here at some point if I make a habbit of "borrowing" my mothers camera as I got rid of mine. What I said before was a joke by the way. One of you guys has ownership of the forum and is totally entitled to control the operation of it as you see fit. You get too tyranical though and I guess the natural result is everyone leaves. Not that you are tyranical. I personally think everyone should be a bit more slack toward each others individuality as expressed. That's just me though.Which two of you runs this forum again? anzo
You have to look at this from the Mods point of view, admittedly, it was a wank topic (not that I helped it any), but Mods are humans, not robots. What they find inappropriate we might find acceptable, and what one mod finds acceptable, other might find unacceptable. Its a constant battle of morals and opinions...one thats always going to be here no matter what.Even if they did open it again it'd be shut again in a day becuase it'll just be full of questions like 'how come this was opened again?' and 'Wheyyyyyy! Its open again!'.I wouldn't loose sleep over it, they'll be another free for all topic most probably later on.

ScotchDave
There is no absolute justice, hell when the EU tried to make a constitution it ended up hundreds of paes long, imagine what a set of total and universal rules for this forum would look like?? anzo
I haven't got a clue what some of theose words mean? am I the only one?Yep, Its because your from Liverpool? Restricted vocabulary.---------I'll probably regret saying this, but if that post was made in NMC as a joke, I don't think it would have lasted two seconds without the member being slated to death, topic shut and the member never to be validated.Do as I say, not as I do. 1a2bcio8
Well the first is slightly incohherent because i was drunk. Don't think I can be bothered to ammend it.The second was a response to what Mark asked me. If that's what you meant Alan?

Tom 'n' Danny.Yeah, I was wondering what you were up to riding-wise these days, 'cos you turned up to the Deej ride on that BMX last year, and then put up pics of XC rides and so on... Can still remember the Swindon vids and the GET vids with you beasting around on your stock, good stuff What's up with the brake? Just needs a bleed/fresh cable or something, or full-bore rapage? Suppose I should probably ask what bike it is too
1a2bcio8
Perhaps. I'm not totally on the ball with maguras as I haven't used them for some years. I was a rear v-boy for the most part of my trials riding. The tpa won't adjust, the lever's spongy, returns to the bars which my big hands really don't like and there's a gap of no resistence in the lever before the calipers push the pads toward the rim.I may see if I can get someone to bleed it or I may just purchase a new one. Looking fowrad to riding though.Do you keep in contact with Jon Granger anymore Mark?
Mark W
Yeah, sounds like it needs a bleed and for you to do the TPA bodge (it's a piece of piss There's a FAQ thread about it, but PM me if you want a hand with it...). Should sort most of your troubles out I try and keep in contact with Jon, yeah. Occasionally I'll get a random 2am "I'm drunk, how are you" call from him, but I speak to him on MSN 'n' stuff whenever he's online.
