Tony Harrison
If someone knows which colour Park spoke key, you could find out the size. I think you'd probably want a black one, so look up the size of the black Park spoke key. Someone like Adam Read would have more of an idea though... Heatsink
There are 3 common MTB spoke nipple sizes: DT Wheelsmith (Black Parktool, 3.22mm)European (Green Parktool, 3.3mm)Japanese (Red Parktool, 3.45mm)^ The blue one is for Motorcycles, 3.96mmI have the red one because it can be used on all 3 types. If you can get/make one, a 3.5mm spanner will do the job as a univeral nipple tool.Steve
Guest
Yeh just don't yank it too hard or you'll risk rounding the nips off...
anzo
I was planning on getting a 2 pence, and getting it cut with a gap, and using it has a tool (how cheap am I?)I may still do that, but I'm tempted to just get an angle grider and make a 30 minute job a 2 second one. anzo
Just spend a few quid on the park 3 size one, it's fecking great. I would normally, but I need to get my hubs sent off tomorrow. So I need a quick fix to make the job quicker. I tried pissing about with an ajustable spanner last night but it takes b*****d ages. So I think I'll give the 2 pence a go (don't tell the queen ) and if not, its the time for the big, fat, spinny disc.
