I know it somewhat breaks the Senior Member code these days but yes, I'm still riding I never really "quit" riding, I've always loved it but travelling and work got in the way along with a 9 month layoff through injury, after that both were both in need of repair and its just taken me a while to get round to it. You're supposed to buy your discounted kit from Tartybikes and leave it to gather dust indefinitely like the rest of us as you can never fully commit to leaving, so equally one ride every few years "just in case you catch the bug again".
WayfarersAll
Had this little beast sat in my garage doing nothing for a while. Don't have the time to ride it really. Everything is basically mint condition on it....was wondering how much I should ask for it if I was going to sell? Also anyone know what forks those are? Cheers.
Ross McArthur
Its a crying shame but you'd be doing well to get £500 for it. Its certainly worth that anyway! Forks are Ashton or Base forks.
WayfarersAll
Yeah that's roughly what I thought. In two minds about selling it really but be better getting some use than sat motionless. Cheers.
Ross McArthur
Updated a few bits. New wheels. 88ep. 80x40 stem. 203 rear rotor instead of 180. Padded saddle. Orange grips - Not sure yet on those.

bing
Retro frame with modern parts for me, needs a longer stem I think for more rear wheel stuff. Only paid £40 for the frame and seat, seriously good nick as well
Scott B
Working on my new meets old street setup. Can't wait to ride this one!
WayfarersAll
Incredible Planet X!!! I still have the steel jump frame with the same livery as that in my garage. The original Jack Flash was my first real mountain bike that didn't fall apart. Still hanging up as well.

bing
@Ali C cheers mate. Changed the stem to a 110x35 now, it pops up really nice now, and puts my body in the right place. Just need to ride a bit, kinda lacked a bit just lately with being a wagon driver now, and not really having the time. The hex was ok but I've wanted one of these for years

bing
@Ross McArthur front end is high. Ive since dropped it 10mm but not rode it yet. The front brake is brutal. Lever feel is absolutely solid and it bites and holds like a mofo. Only paid £60 for the pair of them in July. Alas, the rear one won't fit
