Will Arnold
just get a new one, they dont cost much, halfords or your lbs might even give u one for free?!if you've cross threaded the actual valve on the other hand, book it into your local bike shop to be repaired

PaRtZ
I can't beleive there's so much fuss over a lump of metal worth £2. or a plastic one worth nothing. In all honesty me neitherThis thread was posted as a joke to which only a couple of people got. Do you really think anyone is that bothered about a dust cap?! more to the point, do you think I am? The answer is no.Some of you took this topic far too seriously and although useful points, you have a very brutal way of putting them across. Why? Just saying you don't need it doesn't really answer the question and that goes with a lot of threads I've seen recently, people just giving un-justified answers ie "Its crap dont get it" "they make good quality stuff"Anyway long and short of it all, its a joke, appreciate it and in the meantime sorry tf, you've been had

totaltrials
Ive had this trouble loads of times, I wish companies would just design a proper inner tube with a proper valve which doesnt round off, I'm going to design a CNC inner tube. You need to weld over the valve to give a lump of steel around it, then use 2 rocks and scuff them together untill it's round again, get a piece of water to cool it down, use a pencil to get the hole back and draw a new thread onto the valve using the pencil.that should be ok now.Phil.
