will17will17
Try a grind, setting your brakes up properly, new pads or not so much tar , DON'T PAINT YOUR RIM!
Alex.loves.boys
Tar rules until it gets wet. in the summer its mint. but your not supposed to paint your rims with it. just do little very fine scratches. works much better. Not saying I use tar or anything
Mr_Pitbull
Only sucks when wet because its oil based......hense when added to a slight bit of water gives an oily effect to the tar.
' Mart '
i use koolstop's and tar and it brilliant only scratch the rim lightly then ride holding ur brake slightlytill it feels right dnt just put it on and try a drop lol
roby James124
Hi tar is excellent when you put the right amount of it on but a grind is still a lot better. Rob
ramps
I bet you used koolstops with a shag load of tar. You would be nearly correct, he is actually on maggie blacks. However, when using tar I found every month or so taking the back wheel off and giving it a good doing over with a wire brush to get ride off the old shitty tar works a treat. PaRtZ
I bet you used koolstops with a shag load of tar. I did It worked well cos I never put too much on *ahem*My mate used to cover the entire rim with tar, so it was completely black, with a booster + koolstops. Ofcourse his brake rarely unlocked... I bet that has a great effect before you put the tar back on. Just think that is giving a bit of a grinding effect .
mtbjosh
well when i passed you that very day i actually said, 'hey up luke, ull hurt yourself with that brake' and voilla so you did. You could have at least wire brushed your rim at some stage, and it wasnt a 5foot drop, sheesh it was about 3.5foot tops!! As adam can backwheel that wall everytime all the time he cant backwheel and sidehop 5foot i can tell you that.
boris_on_trials
Tar is awsome i only use a little bit but i hate it when a little bit brakes off and ypu dont see it then gets squashed into the rim thats well annoying and plus when it gets wet and melts all over your floor
knappers !!!
brake set-up , plazmatics , grind, all you need m8
coolbeen
I use tar on a rim with no grind but only a bit with the brake set up good just to make sure that it is going to work. I have a grind on one of my bikes and it is so much better then tar it stops up just like that but does not lock up like tar.
