ogre
You need an apapter to run a rear disk on most frames, look on ebay for one. as for running a rear disk it is possible and looks prety cool the only thing is that you don't get alot of noise (sp) from it when would put me off personnaly you gotta agree there is something reasuring about the honk you get from maggys. Hobnobs
Get a disc frame, the adapters are not a permanent solution imo! They may work for a while, but i think they may either snap themselves or the frame after a bit.

spode@thinkbikes
I've never seen a disc brake adapter work well. Get a frame that supports it in the first place.

poopipe
what does a adaptor look like and where could i buy one and how much!and what frames do you know of that can have rear discs and where and how much ??cheers lads much appreciated all help wanted and greatful for !monty 221 pr and 221 ti from this year have rear disc mounts.last years 221 ti had rear disk mount but i'm not sure if the 221pr did.I think that's it for easy to get hold of mods. Koxx are bringing frames out with rear disks soon-ish (maybe already) but I've not seen them anywhere I normally get parts from yet.
spode@thinkbikes
On 26", the Saracan MAD has rear disc mounts. But by far the best implementation of rear disc mounts I've ver seen is in the KOT MS2, which is what I ride now.

spode@thinkbikes
I really wouldn't suggest an adapter.
