Building A Bike

Hello,

I used to do a lot of riding back around '99/'00 (mid-teen years). I started to get into trials back then but had a hell of a time trying to get hold of parts. It seems a lot easier to get parts now and i'm earning money to fund the hobby.

I was looking at building around either the GU Typhoon (stock) or Zoo! Pitbull frames until I saw the amount of reviews commenting on bad quality. So I'm starting to look at the Toxin Two frame. Mainly because it's got a more "newbie-friendly" (?) geometry. But I can't seem to find any information on the BB shell size, headtube diameter, tyre clearance, etc.

I would have guessed it's a 1 1/8" headtube and a 68mm shell. But I don't want to assume and buy parts that aren't going to fit.

If anyone could suggest a better frame choice I'm somewhere around the 5'11"-6'.

yes the vast majority of trials bikes have 1 1/8" forks but I can't suggest a frame for you as I r mod rider

I think the toxsin is quite nice though and a good choice

I had been thinking it was standard because of the extra strength in oversized tubing (if I understand it correctly?!)

Also, I'm hoping to put in a set of Onza Tuf Guy's (if sizes allow). But I can't find any information on the disc mountings on them and I would like to run a Hope Mono Trials disc on the front.

Another frame I'd been looking at was the Echo Control. I would consider the Toxsin One, too, if anyone knows of a shop I can get them in? (Tartybikes only have the 'Two').

I think Mersey Trial would be able to get you a Toxsin One. I have an 05 Echo Control and it rides really well. You could run a Hope Trial disc on those forks + they are 1 1/8" so they would fit in the frame too
