planet x alan
right. a friend just asked me about shimano deore disk brakes, and i have no clue about them as i have never seen them used on a trials. anyone run these? and whats the power like? would it be a good buy for £25 quid with rotor?cheers alan
Lee Cable
There not the best, i had one on my jump bike. Didnt always lock, and for 25 quid thats a decent amount to waste. Lever felt nice though.
mat hudson
alot of xc riders seem to like them, i think they're pretty powerful.i'v had a play on the xt brakes in 185 rotor and they were amaaaaaazing. really really powerful.should be ok, just get a nice big rotor. Greetings
Been using one on my mod for ages now. Incredibly good considering they're 40 pounds new. Don't reccomend it for a stock bike though, would pay off if you bought an 8" rotor.
CurtisRider
cable deore=pantshydro deore=damn good for the moneyfor 25quid, i guess you must be talking about the cable deore-dont bother with iti think the new models have a 180 front rotor option making them far more vaiable for trials useand as lee said, the levers are real comfy, cant grumble really
Greetings
nope, he's talking about the hydro disc (as stated in the topic)indeed the mechanical brakes are no good and you'd be better off buying a cantilever
