You can run a front disc, run Vees if you make some adapters (I'm looking at this at the moment), or you can get the bosses moved down if they're steel forks like the Pashleys, a service provided by for 10Ukpounds here in the UK by Clive Leeson. From looking at the builds so far, for Alu frames like the 24UK I think that Alu forks look best with their tubing in the same perspective as the frame. The Chromo Pashley forks on my bike, although convenient to get modified by Clive Leeson for us UK riders to run 24" Vees (no disc mount), don't match the frame look as well being skinnier. The BT disc only forks are an almost perfect match for the blue of the frame as you can see from Sam's bike.Best to get hold of forks with their steerers uncut because the trend is to run high grip positions via high riser bars and lots of stackers.Steve
psychologist
Thanks alot steve thats really helpful, what about stems? I notice that those examples are between 80 and 90 mm length and 10 and 15 degree rise, is that a suitable stem for the 24uk?

Heatsink
Stem wise, I would recommend finding one with similar geo, although it doesn't have to be exact because I don't think + or - 1cm will be noticable if you didn't know otherwise! In my opinion the majority of stems are silly prices, and there's plenty of scope to find yourself a very decent one and save a huge amount of money.I've got a Kore stem on my bike which were selling for ยฃ10-ยฃ15 in some places when I looked last. I found the writing on the side scrapes off with a plastic ruler for a more stealth look. Chances are you'll be running standard MTB bars with 25.4mm dia, so why not broaden your search to non trials-specific shops for the best deals.SteveThanks alot steve thats really helpful, what about stems? CurtisRider
just get an onza zoot bike all good components and looks really nicei got 1 through the post this morning, intitial thoughs-f**king hell yes!i didnt ride it standard, as i had a few parts in mind to whack on it, like thompson stem, aznoic bars, middleburns, front disc and rear v brake-didnt see the point in settin it up with standard parts when i was gonna change anywaysuprisingly the rear hub is actually real nice! it had 6 pawls and engagements comparable to a bulb-i bought a pro 2, but im going to wait and see how this thing holds out it comes with 2 heavy duty inner tubes, i dumped them and put in standards, as the tyres are beefy enough as they areit rides real nice, they are short bikes too, everyone thinks they are 24inch t rexs(ok they look like one) but infact they are probably something like 1020-1030-im yet to measureim even more happy by the fact it rides just like my old base, but more flicky and responsive-means switching from bike to bike is going to be fine for meoverall, damn good bikes, even as standard, if you like maguras and can change the bars for something a little higher (down to personal preference really), you have one hell of a bike for almost 600quid
Heatsink
I was riding my 24" yesterday evening and thinking along the same lines as you Paul about the improved flickability.I got used to my bike straight away, and noticed how much more flickable it was compared to my stock. I was already pivoting out of blunts smoothly when before I had habitually ridden fakie. Suddenly a whole range of moves are occuring to me that I could be trying, and that's what my trials needed because I'd got bored of just trying to get up obstacles 1/2 an inch higher.Felix Muecke popped me an email yesterday summarising his experiences these past few days he's been riding 24" rather than the old stock frame he sold off. He summed it up really well when he said his whole weekend could be described in one word - "Fun!" He said it had allowed him to experiment with so many new moves, and yet it still performs really well as a straight trials bike too!Looking forward to seeing photos of your improved spec Zoot Paul Steve

Thanks for the help so far, what about tyres? I notice alot of people are using the tioga tyres but the ones on 'Sam's, (Barcelona, Spain)' look really good.i dont think the tiogas are that good in general, maxxis swamp things are supposed to be pretty nifty on the rear, and i really like my moto digger on my base and my 24 jump bike, infact im going to run one on the front of my zoot

Heatsink
For Rim and Tyre suggestions, have a look at this thread below:FAQ: 24" Wheels and Tyres Very useful thread because as you can see it was an evolving discussion over nearly 2 years as riders tried different combos, and is still updated today. Very useful to read so that you can avoid the expensive trial and error others have already had to go through! The last few posts in that thread mention some good tyres you could try. If you're wanting a more "street tyre" (Like a MTB version of a BMX tyre, with reduced puncture protection and hence around 1/2 the weight of the 24" versions of thicker DH tyres commonly used for 26" trials + fast rolling Tarmac tread with joined together knobs), then it's just a matter of finding one with enough pinch protection for your riding.Steve
Davetrials
ive just got it stuck in my head that ur gonan run out of these very soon and have lots of trouble getting them back. if so ill be gutted cos i want one in 2 months. Heatsink
Fear not Dave!I'm really behind the 24UK 100%. I'll make sure that there are frames in stock because there's a strong wave of converts to the merits of 24" including myself, and my view is that this will only grow in time I'll be bringing more colours out too to improve them further. In the coming weeks I need to get a white frame ordered to showcase that as a future colour option. Also, some more alternative decals are in the works, so the only way is up Steveive just got it stuck in my head that ur gonan run out of these very soon and have lots of trouble getting them back. if so ill be gutted cos i want one in 2 months.
