fruitbat Posted April 25, 2006 Report Share Posted April 25, 2006 a front freewheel works exact same as a rear freewheel. there are benefits and draw backs from a front one which using search will answer but you triding riding without a freewheel and you WILL find it hard. As you said it allows you to coast along without pedalling but when your doing gaps etc it allows you to kick back and adjust your feet or balance, without it i dont think trials would happen,or if it did it would be nothing like it is today........that and most other forms of bikingFrooty Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
