domonza
Right i need some advice of to what i should do so heres the problem.I sold my mod a bit ago and got a stock because i wanted a change, after riding my stock for a couple of days i had this problem where my headset was really rocking and i found out that the frame inside was flared a bit on one side, everytime i try and fix it by putting strips of can in the frame and stuff its fine but then i will restart about 2 days later. after putting up with this for this time i have realised how much i prefer and love riding mod and would like to get another one. But now comes the problem that i have with my flared frame how can i sell it. do you think i should. I need your honest advice here folks and it would be very very appreciated.cheersps. the frame is a 05 zoo pitbull 1065DOM

Caleb
youy should get a king stealset headset and sell it as a full bike.the steelset features much higer cup collars that will sit a lot more firly in the frame and wont be relying on the worn alluminuim and will go into fresh stuff.or you could try a headlock to see if if its just your star nut? ogre
What exactly does it mean when you've flared a headset? is it where the metal is stretched?
Onza Kieron
The headtube has streched therefore the cup wont sit still, bit like your mumma! Sorry, I'm in a weird mood, I'l have the frame for £

mat hudson
What exactly does it mean when you've flared a headset? is it where the metal is stretched? head tube looks less like a circle and more like >0< meaning the cups can rock back and forward. Mark W
Bean tins or similar tend to be stronger than coke can, and therefore might last longer? Have you tried another headset in the frame, btw? It'd be somewhat shit if the headset was f**ked, not the frame, and you sold on a fine frame at a super low price?Assuming you've tried that, what about that liquid metal stuff or something? PaRtZ
what about that liquid metal stuff or something?Chemical metal?Friend of mine used that in his BMX cranks for a thread insert so im not sure if a headset would take greater punishment (begin vertical) or less punishment
joker
re ream your headtube and fit the king steelset as above, will work fine, but you do weaken your headtube as your removing metal
