However as said above, you're best off using the 'Sticky Stuff Remover' with the link given. Edited April 25, 2006 by Joe_Kearney

GT85 should also work as it works a treat on getting the sticky goo left on after stickers/carbon proptector patches and it doesn't damge the frame either. Si-man
What about that Hope muc-off stuff, meant to be be quite good. Just the same as soapy water ands about £400 more. Is good for cleaning rims though
Joe_Kearney
What about that Hope muc-off stuff, meant to be be quite good.Yeah there was a review in an MBUK issue about that stuff it was rated ok, if I root around and find it I'll scan it in and post it up, but my rooms an absolute tip. Its worth trying if all else fails.Muc offI don't think that this is the hope branded stuff but its pretty similar, can be used for virtually any bike cleaning tasks, and completely safe to use. roby James124
HiI used to use that rubbish it is basically glue and it forms a glaz on the pads which then stops them working properly. but the answer to your question is either Use - Wd40 spray and rub off with a cloth- gt85 spray and rub off with a cloth- Hairspray spray and rub off with a cloth- hairdryer to heat the glue up and melt it and rub off with a cloth- A glue dissolving solvent- DeodorantHope this helps Robert

Lee Cable
Who ever suggested nail varnish remover, that will remove the paint. I tried once, on mummys car.. From Lee
Greetings
No muc off will remove resin. Soap won't work either. Use a nitro resolvent (will deal with it quickly) or petrol. This won't remove the paint if it's been baked and lackered. Been cleaning frames with petrol ever since I got my first bike and no paint has ever come off.Plus petrol smells really nice and you can burn it if you have any left over which will make you happy. 3 in 1.
