Barbra Posted April 24, 2006 Report Share Posted April 24, 2006 the only way i know how to change the colour is to right click on the icon, properties, advanced, and compress....it makes the text blue and hardly compresses the file....but obviously some icons it won't work with. Extreme_biker0 Posted April 24, 2006 Report Share Posted April 24, 2006 Right click my computerpropertiesAdvancedUnder performance, click settingsUncheck 'show shadows under desktop icons'Ok, Ok Ok back to the desktopRight click the desktop.PropertiesAppearence tab.Advanced.Choose desktop.Make it white.Windows will see this and automatically change the desktop icon text to black.
