onzatprodude
hi, i've just recently been able to bunny hop up objects, but when i do my highest, which really isn't very big my wheel is hitting it on the corner. i also find manuels really hard because its nearly impossible to pull my front end up! i'm currently running brisa bars + stem and koxx forks which are low (mod).i was just wondering could you suggest anything that will help me?have you got any tips? is there anything you think i should change?thanks
Ben Cox
hitting the front as you pull up?if so, get more speed and pull up earlier, i had to learn this as i get higher, i now pull up earlier and my front never touches and i make it most of the time ben
King C
i'm currently running brisa bars + stem and koxx forks which are low (mod).thanks Do you mean your running a stock stem on a mod? If so get a mod stem. That'll probably help. Also with manuals I find that it helps if you point your feet up instead of parallel to the ground. yoyoyo
Get shorter bars and stem, generally helps with pulling up the front end.

Ben Cox
noo dont get a lower stem, will make getting the front up even harder, get an echo team stem with some zoo riser bars, thats a nice combination for bunnyhopsBen

yoyoyo
I don't about short stems any more but i remember changing to wide bars and long stem and i can't lift as high or easy any more. But it means better balance.
Trials Boy
Go up to the obstical at a fair ammount of speed, pull up at the last minute making sure you don't hit it with your front wheel bend your arms, lift the backend up and bend your legs making sure your body is as low to the bike as possible and the bike is as high as you can pull it. Learnt it on my BMX.
Mark W
Lower makes it harder to pull up, which isn't so good. With mods, you have to reaaaaaaaaaally exagerate lifting the front end up. You have to pump really hard, and just yank it back far more than you'd think you would do. If you're landing to back wheel, it doesn't matter so much if you over-do it 'cos you can just plant the back wheel on and hey-ho, you're sorted. This is a vid from when God was a boy (literally that long ago Think it must be 2 years or so now 'cos I'm on a T-Pro, and that's Sikamon Simon saying 'nice one', and he's been being raped by navy boys for the last year and a bit I think...), but it shows you the technique I guess.LinkEDIT: I did that on that T-Pro, which was a 1000mm WB and had pretty high bars. I can still do that now though on my Zip, which is 1045 and has a pretty low front end ('cept for the T-Master stem ), so if you've got the technique you can do it on most bikes, so don't bother splashing out on new stuff just for hops or whatever, just adapt to what you have
