Trials mama
hey guys, i built up my monty the other day, and the freewheel rubbed a lil bit on the bb (set up, fsa 128 i think, acs and zoo bash on zoo cranks) now this didnt cause a problem on my t-pro, but on the monty it has eat away at my bb, the tool only just fits in now. To add to this my lbs cant get my freewheel off with out destroying it, as i want to remove the bash for more clearence.i can get pics if needed.i dont no what to do, i was gonig to wait for the tensile freewheel then demolish my acs, but has any one else got any sensible ideas?cheers guys eddie
Shaun H
I'm guessing you mean the removal tabs on the freewheel are hitting it when you pedal right? If so the only option really is to carefully grind these off.

Janson
I've used a little spacer on my driveside isis crank for ages, for the freewheel to not rub on the bb shell.i am not sure if i use one or not atm, but i run a fixed sprocket now. Janson
is there anything wrong with the BB though?I'm talking about a spacer on the axle, a spacer between the bb and frame wouldn't help.

Greetings
Not quite sure if I get you, but the best thing you could do is to look for the cause of the problem. There's no logical explenation for it to work fine on the Onza, and not on the Monty. Did you have the cranks screwed in right to the very end of the bb before/now? The Zoo cranks are very very soft and within a matter of weeks they will become loose, so maybe now you can just screw them in further? In adition to that, a 128mm bb should be more than enough. Mat Smith!
Arn't Zoo cranks for a cog only anyway?Try it without the bash, I'm sure you will be able to get it off.Mat
Greetings
Arn't Zoo cranks for a cog only anyway? Nope, they've got lots of thread. Besides the standard build ZOO has/had an ACS freewheel and fixed rear Cranks can either have a short thread (like Monty ones) meaning you can't use a rockring, or a long thread which basically allows you to use both a bashring and freewheel/chainring
