Greetings
I know a large percentage of us has probably grown out of computer games, yet I'm sure most of us, regardless the attitude towards this form of entertainment, have their favorite game.My vote goes to Deus Ex for the incredible plot and philosophical ending. RicH_87
halo 1 on xbox, simply for the reason that out of all the games i've played, my best times were spent on that game, with up to 12 player link up till 11:30 at night it was like the next gen golden eye 4 player.it's probably not the 'best' game ever made, but if i had to re live any gaming experience, it would be one of the halo matches.Best game ever made?? would for me, probably be CS, for the simple reason that i first played it nearly 6 years ago, and it still installed on my computer today.Games come and go, and most have that 'wow this is awesome' factor for like 2 weeks, halo lasted me and my freinds nearly a year and a half without getting old, and CS is still going strong. Krisboats
DOOM, Undeniably the best video game ever. It shaped everything that first person shooters are today. It had levels where the walls weren't all perpendicular to each other, flickering lights and the gameplay wasn't orientated around getting a load of objectives it was purely rushing to that end red panel as fast as you f**king could killing everything in your way. DOOM was the game that got people into gaming from janitors to business men on computers at work this thing rocked the world. Again with DOOM 3 which has been one of the leading benchmark games for a fair while. It was visually stunning with the same action as the original... people rated pc's depending on how well they played this game!!Other good titles where grand theft auto. Its got to be a good game if people are solely blaming it for the amount of corruption and the violent outbursts of horrific people. Half life was a great game and has to be in the top of the gaming league.Counter strike, says it all really... a very simple idea with a team of terrorists and a team of counter terrorists, stick some hostages or a bomb in the mix and make a round 3 minutes long and its the perfect recipe for a repetitive game that gets people hooked into playing it. The "chess" of 3d shooters.Goldeneye on the n64, was heralded as the best shooter by pretty much everybody and their uncle.Halo and halo 2. The original game IS what sold the xbox, the most visually spectacular and amazingly wonderful levels and gameplay had millions of sales and is in the top for that.Gran turismo gets a mention as well for full tuning upgrading and such bloody long marathon races of like 100 laps. Shaun H
Battlefield 2. I'm addicted. :$ By far the best PC game I've played.I f**king hate it, played it on my brothers computer (mine's too "noobish").There's icons absolutely f**king everywhere, I can barely make out enemies there's so much shite on the screen. Seriously seriously irritating. Without them I may be able to begin to enjoy it but I dunno. I'll have to see when (read if) I buy myself the 6600GT and 1GB RAM I keep looking at....But best game ever has to be multiplayer Goldeneye. I remember me and a load of my mates all cramming into someone's bedroom and playing it all day. It'd get really late and then we'd all call our parents and say we're staying over (their parents were easy) and then play it all night as well. Sooooooooo much fun.As for modern games: CS: S and DoD: S are my favourites recently. Not that I game much at all nowadays
