Moffat
Hi all. Im new. I ride a Pashley 26mhz. bought it off a mate for £300. Bargain. Its been fitted with Magura HS33's. The front brake is a little worn/broken though as the adjuster on the lever doesn't adjust it much. I've had it in the local bike shop and the guy in there said that the threads are stripped, so he adjusted it up on the actual brakes for me. I was out on it yesterday and noticed the brake lever wasn't as good as what it was when i picked it up from the shop on friday, it's reaching in hearly to the handle bar. I've also noticed that where the main pipe goes down from the lever to the brakes, then back out to bridge across to the other side, it's leaking. i think. Where the bridge pipe comes back out, it doesn't seem a very tight fit as when i unclip the quick release side and wiggle it about, the bridge pipe seems free to twist back and forth on the main brake bit. And did seem a tad damp. I've read 1 or 2 things on here about people having to replace the bridge pipe, so is this a comon thing. Thanks in advance for any help. Jsy Ben
yes its a common thinghosing costs a couple of quid for a metrebike shops will fix it for around a tenneror a diy kit is available for around 20 quid, seeing as this is a common problem, this is an investment worth making (for the money) the kit comes with a easy step by step guide...but if you do have any problems were always here for your questionsthats all that comes to mind atm
