Bike addict
I'd go for normal magura oil. its less hassle.

Hezz0l
Well, I heard things of water leaking through.. You could use some "maizena" *that's what it's called in Dutch, I don't know if it's the same in English*. Maizena is a powder and if you mix a bit up with water the water becomes a bit thicker in density.. I've tried it once, works fine... Just been in it for 3 weeks, no problems YET. I'm not telling you it will work but it works fine for me to this point.
dbtrialer
waterWhat water? tap or filtered water
joshywa
What water? tap or filtered waterYour best using whats called "de-ionised" water, its intended for use in car batterys, so you can get it at places such as halfords. Its effectively boiled and filtered water to remove all the impurities which also makes it ph 7 (or neutral) so it wont affect seals. It does cost but....... it wont kill your seals !!!!!!!The other options to ask the science department at your school nicely for some distilled water, almost the same thing (or so my teacher says )hope that helps joshywa Edited June 29, 2006 by joshywa
munch8987
Water for the winJust had my brake blead by squince with water, and the change is remarkable, it went from running as slow as a snail, to super quick reactions ie: pistons retreited alot quiker, lever return was far faster etcI'll probs go back to the oil in the winter, but definatly water for now!!!! Token
anyone thought of sticking some of this stuff in?Heres the description: Tec-Protect Clear 1litreThis Tec-Protect-Plus corrosion protection and heat conducting addition protects the watercooling reliably from corrosion and, above all, can be recommended when different metal is used in the cooling system. This addition does not have to be mixed with distilled water, but is qualified for a complete set and thus ready-to-use. Technical data: Color: clear Suitable for: systems with copper and/ or aluminium mounting parts. Contents: 1litre Due to the low addition quantity, the high warmth capacity of the water is preserved almost completely. Does not contain glycols, but hydroxyphosphon carbon acid! mite just stop your seals screwing up an the whatever else buggers up due to corrosion? I don't know what Im talking about....EDIT: it costs £8.21 inc VAT Edited June 29, 2006 by Scopse

Clawz114
Stick with magura fluid if i where u, safe option plus if u use water it voids any warrantiesno no no NOOOOOOOWho would really be stupid enough to send your magura back to them saying "oh i bled it with water", if it f**ks up, just bleed some magura oil through it and send it back. Simply as that Its like people saying, "only use magura pads because it voids the warrenty if you dont" Well how about you just put your old magura ones back on before you send the magura back And by the way, Water for the win definitely, i much prefer it.
