Onzaallen
Hi mate, My mate that i ride with most of the time has diabetes and he seems to control it really well, he has some dexto tablets or something if he goes low. How do you cope with it?Allen......
tipus
To begin with it was a bit scarry really, didnt know how my bloodsugar would react etc.. But as you get to know how your body reacts while riding, its a lot easier. Riding/activity keeps your bloodsugar levels down, wich is a good thing. As long as its not too low.. And i always have something to drink or eat with me at all times, incase i get low bloodsugar.
mat hudson
my sister has it, to be honest she doesnt take care of it at all, she eats what she wants when she wants and injects if she remembers. she is such a tool.
Littleharrys
Generally if your a fit youngish person it won't affect you in quite the same way. My dad has it but cos hes much older he has pay more attention to the problem and how it affects him.Not the same but I got asthma about 2 years ago after being totally fit and full of energy. It was a big blow cos now i just get really out of breath, esp when its cold. But it means I have to work more on my fitness so my lungs can adjust.Don't let it stop you doing what you love!!H

I've had asthma since I can remember and I recntly saw a consultant he upped my dosage and suddenly I've become a shitload fitter.

I find it pretty hard to ride for a long period of time without getting out of breath. I also find it hard to cope with if it is to hot or to cold so there is no happy medium.Allen.
