Gaz M
just wondering if they are actually available anymore, from my experience the 30mm pads and the new 50mm ones are a different compound i remember my old 30mm ones being really good on a koxx rim with a grind super loud and held amazingly when on a hard rim (ronnie etc they were stupidly good), i put the 50mm ones on and it just made a swooshing sound on a ronnie rim and didnt hold slightly on a koxx rim. so im just wondering if they just stopped being made, of if theyre still available from somewhere

Waynio
when i or should i say "everyone" at koxx days could hear Giacomo's brake at koxx days it was amazing!!! altho my longer heatsink ones were just the same when i had them working in barcelona, but they dont make the same noise now.Waynio.......................i know Giacomo was using "short" ones. Luke Drewery
I know what you mean, I have been running the heatsink coust pads for about two months now and I am not overly impressed. I ground my rim just before I put them on (harsh grind on a BMF rim, decent grade alloy) and they werent too good (squeaky but little lock). After a few days they bedded in and worked pretty well, not as good as I expected but good in general. Now they just make a shitty swooshing aound and arent very confidence inspiring at all. They stop the wheel fine, but lack the power I got from my hetasink blues which seem to have had the same wear rate. From what I heard of the old pads they were amazing, but the new 50mm ones are so so.
munkee
Its the same as the old monty orange pads. The short ones worked a treat for me even though they rounded to buggery. So i bought the longer regular size pads and they were the wank
