Hobnobs
Why do you need spares? I thought hope were the all singing all dancing answer to every prayer of even the best trials riders. Oh no wait, thats kings. Seriously though. Did you have to pay for them repalcing all that stuff? Cos waynoiiiii said they were charging now, and from what i remember, all that stuff was pretty expensive. CurtisRider
i sent a bulb off to them, they didnt charge me for repair even though they claimed it wasnt broken, yet it had all new internals ah well, im not grumbling
Waynio
they dont charge "TEAM" riders for anything.iv got spares for the brakes and the hubs as if im away and i break something due to crashing what do i do??? sacrifice my ride??? no way, il fix or sort the problem out. they wont charge ali anything as he is part of the Ashton Bikes team.not being funny or anything about the bit above, but you were trying to say after all the praise the hubs were getting you were trying to bring them down, not a really clever idea. if you dont ride one, dont comment on one i was speaking to ali last week about his wheel and it didnt sound right at the trial in wales. he said that it was "his" fault for not putting it back together. NOT HOPES fault.Waynio.....................
Hobnobs
I was just kidding. Do hope sponsor the ashton team then? Seems like a pretty sweet deal. Lucky buggers.
Waynio
ye there's a Hope newsletter thing and it shows like who's sponsored etc by them. theres quite alot of people sorted out by them, gives good publicity in all area's and covers EVERY discipline of cycling which is kool. theres a good 7/8 trials riders sponsored by them Waynio................... Ali C
yeah it was my falt the bearing went, I was hammering a cassette cog from the otherside of the wheel and the freehub came off, when I put it back on I didnt get the lip seal in place and the freehub wasnt al the way in, meaning the bearing wasnt where it was meant to be.oh yeah, I wouldnt go running there expecting free service, I took money with me as I thought I might have to pay, but they let me off. CBProductions
Hope are good in many sense , when I used to race DH they would always help out withh your brakes if there was something wrong and very rarely charge you. As most dh bikes dont come with hopes as standard they try and get the word out. They are also rider orientated as most of them ride so its all good ,Glad you got your hub sorted Ali ,
