T-mag Spray Job: Colour? Price....?

Ey guys.

Ive got a T-Mag '03? square tubing, its getting on now. The paint job is original, so its blue and silver sparkly paint which in my opinion is abit too homosexual for my liking, and also its well and truly lost the sex appeal of a new bike.

So, you guy know your Onions. I want to get it sprayed, im pretty sure I know the guy for the job. The colour im thinking of going for is white? its clean, modern and clinical. What do you guys think? Anybody sprayed their bike white an it looks totaly W4Nk? or has someone got a bike colour that looks sooooo gorgeous that more people should be getting theirs sprayed the same. Im open to views.... white however, is tempting.

As for price. You people must of had a dealings with spray shops or dodgy geezers offering their skills with a can? whats a decent price, Im going to need to frame sand blasted or whatever it takes to make it bear metal (7005 aluminium) and then sprayed and laquered, is it going to cost mucho $$$?

Cheers

Scopse.

Black is always a winner. Or be a bit wild and do it brown or dark purple, summot like that would look nice. I am in a similar situation to you though, i want to spray my bike because like every other persons its long, low and silver, i was thinking about khaki green or possibly orange. your choice at the end of the day though.

Mill spec (MOD) - umm realy think a doggy gezza is able to do it to them std's right? MOD is Minstery Of Defence and Mill Spe is the USA twats equaverlant Millatry Spec

Erm duh, you got any ideas what happens in shotblasting form the name or powdercoating?

Shotblasting is when the fire (shoot) lots of metal filing or other materials at the object to clean off the crap, be it paint, rust etc etc

Powdercoating is a power electostaicly sprayed tothe frame then hung in an oven and baked at 150F...so removing all you parts is a bloody good idea and you should when you spray or strip a frame no matter how much of a lazzy sod you are

It's easy with the right tools and also easyer without the right ones if you got the skills

I've got a frame due to be powder coated black in the next few days. Around the Cambridge area prices seem steeper than elsewhere, and it's costing 40 UKpounds.

Have a look in the yellow pages (in the UK www.yell.com) and see what you can find under Powder Coaters. The finish is more robust than normal paint and yet often cheaper because it's less labour intensive - One coat is the equivalent of several coats of paint after each other.
