Dan6061
Got a Netgear wireless 4 port modem today, after a lot of fiddling about, I got it running. I can't get onto MSN.It's saying the server is too busy, usually takes a second attempt, and i'm on. But it's not working at all. Troubleshooting says it's all fine, i'm directly connected to the .NET Messenger Service, according to the Connection options. And yet I still can't sign in. Thanks in advance. Tomm
How were you using MSN before? In the connection options for MSN, have you got a proxy set up? If so you need to remove that.
Dan6061
The computer i'm on now wasn't connected to the internet before, and the connection settings have all changed now. I've ran the troubleshooting, and it says it's all fine. Yet I still can't connect. 'The server is to busy....blah..' Do I just have to wait? the judge
I sometimes have this problem, what I do is turn off the computer, reboot the router (i.e. unplug it for 30 seconds or so), then plug it back in turn the computer on and it's usually all dandy.Hope it works for you

Tomm
Nah, you'll have to open up the ports on the router for MSN. I can't remember what ports MSN uses, or how to do it, but you can google
