RandomHero
There were 4 of us riding around my area once and we all got our names taken down for sitting down and having a coke we later on found out it was because some person had reported 4 young people on bikes trying to get into a car. The thing is one of us owned that car, and he was making sure it was locked!!
ogre
I love this stuff - makes me chuckle - i get it off dad all the time because hes a magistrate - says everything is criminal damage and that im going to end up in a jail cell lol - Its madness - one minute they complain about our nation being obese and not doing enough exercise and then when we do get off our arses and do something imaginative and cost free (bar the grands worth of bike ) we get busted and moved on at every spot.Even had a meeting for what facilities the youth want in our area, and then got told we were narrow minded because we just wanted a skate park lolMadness...I love it. WOO oh the irony of it all. My new pastime (when i'm not riding) is asking my local head of council what i can do with my spare time and he's as pissed off as i am about it all never had any trouble from the copshop they stopped me once in town when it was like a few days before crimbo for riding in pedestrian areas saying i could hit someone even though i was happily riding round the pedestrians hehe. other than that i have never got in shit (rough area lol)
Jules
The other week me and 3 mates were riding at an abandoned warehouse (Parcel force) that we had filled with crates and stuff. Then we left the warehouse and went onto another spot in the industrial estate then the pigs turned up. Police: We have had a report of 4 boys on bikes riding and causing trouble at Parcel Force, is it you guys? Us: (Long nervous silence) No.... Police: (They knew it was us) (They speak to someone on a radio)Police: Do you know if anyone has been down there?Us: We saw a few rough kids messing about and smashing windows when we rode past earlier... Police: Got any names?Us: NoSo it went on like this until they realised they didnt have any proof and we just rode home rather quickly. Then we rode past the industrial estate security guard who gave us a bollocking. Other than this never had any problems with the police, apart from a few times were they have just been polite and told us to move on. Clarky
Police are a pain in the ass i aint bothered what people say about ohh there there to protect you because they have never protected me they have always been assholes and giving out fines e.t.c there unreasenable assholes out there just to see who can hand out more tickets when you get stopped and you try to explain about the sport and how there is no trials park they just say contact your council. deanie-b
Only a few times, But I do argue with them if they try.Copper : Shouldn't you be riding that on the road?Me: I don't think I should you know...Copper: Why's that?Me: Does this bike look road-legal to you?= One gobsmacked pig
westy6565
I've only ever had it once, But there were really serious about itI was riding an empty car park just fiddling around with curbs and things, when she pulled out in her non police car(Off duty) I done an abubaca on the curb and she stopped and walked over to me and told me that i was doing anti social behaviour and me and my mates had to wait for ages while she braught an on duty officer along, she wanted him to take us back to the station with our bikes, But he had none of it and he ended up just taking our names.Luckily the officer was sound unlike the stressy woman. He just told us to move on and took our namesYou should have seen the look on the womans face!he also told us his son rides a DMR. manuel
Policeman: Youve got no lights and you are on one wheel... the roads no circus boy.... hahathat was fair enough though i suppose - manualing past a copper at night isnt the best thing you can do...Ive only had a few problems from the police when i ride on my own, probably because Iam on my own... they actually talk to me and are quite decent about things - usually they dont really have a choice to move people along. The best ones I find are the university security guards - "for your own safety...." ha
tom tom
as Randomhero said when the pigs took our names for someone checking their car was locked we were also told that bikes like ours cant ride on the road as the didnt have seats and no 20" isnt road legal...tom tom

Dai the Socket
Police are there to protect you, the public. If you recognise this and don't be a dick I very much doubt you'll have any trouble. Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible, there are some idiots on power trips in the force, but so long as you're sensible and don't cause too much fuss you'll be fine. Also, don't get too annoyed that your name's been taken, nothing will come of it.JoeAmen.Thats exactly what I think.

You're just f**king narrow-minded. Relax. Not all police are the same, and they are there to protect communities. If they don't understand trials and the sport, maybe explain it to them, but from their bosses they've been told that you're not allowed to do it, so they're just doing their job. Can't blame them for that. And they can't do f**k all about a trials park. Only your council can, so it's not exactly a 'stupid' thing for them to say is it.

hill_393
The police round my area are cool. I've been good friends with most of the coppers in my area for a long time, and never had a problem with being told to move. Having a best friend who's a Trials rider and also a Copper also helps!DarrenYou're just f**king narrow-minded. Relax. Not all police are the same, and they are there to protect communities. Saying if i didnt let him i would be reported. He was met with " You come around here again , on or off duty i will report you for illegal searching and sexual harasment "He left me alone havent seen him, yet. F*cking pervert. If i was older , i swear , he would be in casuality right now, but im only
Balman
I have yet to have my name taken down always being moved on by owners of propertys but always seem to avoid police. I don't get it though I often ride this library in southend and on the same road the is a police station and officers are always passing on foot and in cars. They give us evils but never take any action one of the funniest time's I have had there is a bunch of skaters were hanging around there and the police came over and started having ago at them and moved them on and then walked straight past us it was great. The skater were just sitting there and we were bouncing about and still they said nothing. There is some justice in the world haha.Jack. Ali C
I got given a yellow card and had my details taken this weekend in deepest darkest wales, it was a tiny town and I cant even remember its name.Anyway, the officer was pleasent and understood why we do it, but said we shouldnt do it in his town it was late anyway and the ride was near its end so we left
zoo
I've never been stopped by the police, they are really sound around here, they once stopped us but it was to ask if we knew a lad who they were trying to find..the other day one of the 'police community wardens' said to me 'Not here mate ' but fair play..just as he was walking past me i gapped to a curb and kept balanced on my rear wheel for ages keeping him waiting, quite sound zoo
Bike addict
Ive only ever had 1 incident with police. Me and a couple of mates were riding this like wierd cobbled bank thing outside of Doncaster collage when these 2 policemen came up to us asking to go ride somewhere else because the people inside were in an important meeting, and that was it. I mean my mate is a bit of a worrier and he nearly weed himself when the copper came up to us. Like others have said, in most cases, you be nice to them, they be nice to you. End of. rickycoleman
We've been quite lucky with the Fuzz, the only Real encounter we've had in hastings was one pig with a bad attitude shouting "OI! Get down!" a couple of days ago, But ive never had my name taken down, The street wardens give us a bit of beef sometimes, But as far as i know they are just Fake-wannabe police fag, with no power so i dont take much notice.Rick
Dai the Socket
always get it,police are only intrested in satopping people who speed, people biking and skateboarders etc, catching real criminals is to scary for the lil bastards I'm not really sure whether you're being sarcastic or not but I'll take it as-if you were due to having bikers in. People who speed aren't in the same league. Some people who speed are experienced drivers and I think that's 'more' acceptable than just your dickhead teen like me speeding. Hence why I don't at all recently.Speeding drivers, excessively, usually means they're drunk, on drugs, doing something illegal or have just nicked a car. Therefore stopping anyone doing it is an obviously good tactic for the Police.I think a lot of people on here need to stop being so f**king narrow minded and stop jumping on the "Oh police are pigs I hate them, they dont stop 'real' criminals" band wagon and get a life. In your area, you might have have had a particularly good encounter with the police, but them stopping you (even if they're on ego-trips) isn't a bad thing. ScotchDave
You obviously have not lived in Glasgow, there isn't a week that goes by when I don't hear from a friend (school, bikes etc) that they or someone they know got pulled over for driving without a belt, despite the fact they were. Thing is you don't argue with the police here, so you pay the fine and get on with it.A lady who worked with me mum told me about what happened to her son a few weeks ago: he drove into a petrol station (responsible lad wearing his belt) stopped, got petrol payed got back in, belted himself in, pulled out. As soon as he pulled out a police car flashed him and he pulled in.So they come up and tell him they saw him driving without a seatbelt, "I wasn't officer, you saw me put it on before I drove off in the station." "No, before you pulled in." They had been in the supermarket opposite the station they said. It doesn't have a car park in sight of the road though, and the windows don't look out onto the road, so basicallt there is no way they could have seen him even if he had been driving without a belt. The lad still had to cough up for the fine though, safer to do that then get done for resisting arrest and get clobbered with a night stick.
