thaoriginalgangsta
hi ther all a was wondering has anyboby built a 19'' rim on a front hub n rode with it ?? this is just a thought but replies would be greatfull
Luke Rainbird
WHY?!Personally I reckon that would be hideous, I mean, losing 5" up front would make my bike ride all funny But seriously now, I can't see much point in it. The extra large tyre may give a bit more bounce I guess, but that's about it.Anyway, not a mod rider so I'll leave you twisted perverts to it... planet x alan
i wanted to do that with my old mod but then decided there was no point. yeah it would give you a bit more bounce as the guy above said, but it would add weight, look horribe, be a b**tard to set brakes up, you dont need nothing that big on the front, you use the back wheel to land on and there fore i wouldnt recomend putting anything larger than a 2.25 tyre on 20" rim. Has anyone seen my shoe?
The rolling resistance would be terrible aswell, there really is no point. You would have to get an adapter to move the brakes down the tyre would probably rub on the forks etc

Bottom bracket height wouldnt be all that affected !!! It would work on a high BB frame like a GU but you'd need a wide set of forks.joshywa
