joe_eyre
Hello all! I've just set my new bike up, And i thought to myself "i need a new rear tyre, because my current tyre is bold".So i was thinking of the new Monty tyre, But with it being 2.7 will it fit in my frame or is it specifically meant for Monty's. I have a zoo now, With my maxis being 2.5, there was only a little amount of clearance at that.So what i am getting at, Does anyone know if the Monty tyres are Good or Bad and would they fit into my zoo?Hope you guys can help me on this one?All comments welcome. Cheers joe
Guest
There was another thread about fitment on a zoo.I dont know what the outcome was.My monty tyre is the dogs balls without a doubt but i would say wear rate might be an issue. The shit weather has stopped me riding lately but i'll see over easter how it wears.I'd say if you can fit one get one cos they are nice n grippy and have great feel to them. Over the past few weeks, there have been a fair few topics containing this sort of info. I also cannot remember the outcome, but I think, possibly, that it was something along the lines of "depends which zoo you have 05 or 06" although I can't quite remember. It probably doesn't help much, but I have this tyre in my Monty and it is the best I have tried so far! Very nice - but I think it is fairly heavy.Sam
Deonn h
Yeh i made the topic and i decided not to.It will fit with about 2mm probley at each side or summert stupid. So really its not worth the hasle of getting you wheel perfectly straight and getting it perfectly alined and trusting it not to move a milimeter lol.So don`t bother.TOPIC Edited April 9, 2006 by Deonn h
