Rich J
I run Race face diablous cranks on my bike they have been very good to me over the last year or so of me using them but now they have developed a problem. When i ride the 8mm hex key bolt seems to come loose every few minutes. This means when im on a ride i have to fix it all the time and im getting very fed up with it. It nearly made me break my arm the other week when it fell of during a drop. Not pleasant.I was just woundering if anyone has had this problem and if anyone has any fixes for the problem.Any help would be appricieated.Rich
Lawnmowerman
Your tapers are stretched. You need new cranks

Mat Smith!
Get a new BB, and cranks? Both being used loose, so they will come loose more often, if you've had them for like a year, change them anyway.Mat
Rich J
Really? I know i need a new bottom bracket but do i need to buy new cranks aswell? They are splined cranks. Is there no way of fixing it?
Lawnmowerman
The fact that they keep coming loose is a sign that you need new cranks. There is no way of fixing them. Your bb should be ok as the arms are made of a very soft metal compared to the bb as its hardened
