domonza
Well, this is my first stock bike and im just getting to grips with it all, but i went out the other day and after a while i started to get a bit of chain slap and it makes a horrible noise, i tried to put tension on my chain by pushing my rear mech down and tightening it up but now the rear mech after i have tightened it just springs back up to the frame so my chain isnt that tight. The chain slap is that bad that when i go down a kurb it makes quite a bad noise.Does anyone now why it does this, does the the bolt in the rear mech need to really tight as i darnt tighten super tight as the allen key is that size for a reason. Martin Grainger
take the springs out of the mech, this will hold the mech in one place and should stop chin slap, it will work like a chain tensioner. Clarky
Alright diddy lad, have you got your zoo working? The advice i can think of would be to undo the mech bolt wich bolts it onto the hanger and push the mech down making more pressure on the chain? thats what i did although i have gone to fresh products tensioner now. When will you be out on your bad boi i aint seen you in months.Clarky

Tony Harrison
Is it actually chain-slap, or is it the rear mech hitting the frame??
downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Undo the mech, push the mech up intill its touching the frame, then tie it to the frame with an old lace, then take the link out of the chain intill the chain is tight.... Ben Geary
I don't think it's your chain mate, i think it's your mech.Just click the link what The Judge has posted and do that. You shouldent have a problam then.Ben
F-Stop Junkie
If it's the mech hitting the frame, why not just tighten the b-tension screw?
