How Do You Get Ride Of Chain Slap

Well, this is my first stock bike and im just getting to grips with it all, but i went out the other day and after a while i started to get a bit of chain slap and it makes a horrible noise, i tried to put tension on my chain by pushing my rear mech down and tightening it up but now the rear mech after i have tightened it just springs back up to the frame so my chain isnt that tight.

The chain slap is that bad that when i go down a kurb it makes quite a bad noise.

Does anyone now why it does this, does the the bolt in the rear mech need to really tight as i darnt tighten super tight as the allen key is that size for a reason. :(

Alright diddy lad, have you got your zoo working? The advice i can think of would be to undo the mech bolt wich bolts it onto the hanger and push the mech down making more pressure on the chain? thats what i did although i have gone to fresh products tensioner now. When will you be out on your bad boi i aint seen you in months.
