TheFabricator
cheap disc brake set ups can be had off ebay for a fiver. they are ex mini moto and brand new. they are cable, but they do come with disc, caliper and pads, adaptor for 10mm axle and lever. The disc is only 120mm diameter so you have good ground clearance but the calipers have really big pads and are way more powerful than ordinary bike cable disc setups. OK you need a disc front hub but what do you want for a fiver. your thoughts?
JT!
The sise of the pad does not have any effect of the power of the brake. It's a very very small rotor, it'll use really really cheap parts, so i doubt your going to get any braking power out of it what so ever. But, seing as the price is so low, why not buy it and tell us? watto
In theory they should be at the same level of performance or better than mtb disc brakes as they have to slow down from higher speeds, but what is wrong with just getting a brake that you know will work. Yeah as said before get one and try it, if its good you could be on to something(by saving a lot of people money), but if it ain't just stick it back on ebay.
